The art style for Noir and Magni is doing them no favors, though the latter's mama isn't even bad, maybe she just isn't used to drawing a vtuber model. I theorized about this on the last thread and I don't think it's solely the artists' fault. The only EN members who talked about this were Kiara and Gura, so things could've changed since their debuts but it's unlikely looking at how Council turned out, and it's pretty much confirmed that Cover commissions those designs while giving the talents a chance to change very small details (I believe Gura's teeth were her idea). And it's not like there isn't a back and forth with designs since Kiara has shown probably the whole design process huke had with her, so it's probably a case where Cover wanted something specific and the artists just gave them what they were asked. I know this makes Cover, or at least whoever is responsible for this (probably Omega) look highly incompetent, but again, look at Council.

With Bae, Ame, and Mori addressing the topics (so far there could be mooooore), I'm kinda impressed by the damage control those three are trying to do compared to what happened when Miyabi debuted. (but Izaru and Kira! Both of them streamed so infrequently that Miyabi was alone until Aru and Suzaku and Rikka). Which Kinda makes Sense Ame is big unity and Bae was probally an orginal Stars fan, which kinda ties into how they handled it. Mori was fairly professional, which makes sense since she can be when she's not drunk.

I have no idea if this is more of a vision issue or rep issue because I can see kanji clearly in chat.
Not sure how you are learning kanji but kanji are made up of something called radicals (think of words made up of letters). When seeing a kanji, you should be able to recognise the radicals in it. For instance, 曜 is made up of 日, 羽 and 隹. Try to see if you can spot them inside the kanji when reading it. You can also copy the kanji and paste it somewhere where you can enlarge if it's unclear. Overtime, you can easily spot them based on their general overall shape of the character without deciphering the radicals.

If you know korean or Chinese it's basically the same equivalents in those languages. If not, you will just have brute force and memorise them like any other kanji.
That said, for days of the week you may have noticed that they are named after things like water, fire, gold etc. They are actually named after the planets (which were named after roman(?) Gods) and have some correspondence with our days of the week. If you look at monday and sunday it matches with 月曜日 (moon) and 日曜日 (sun). The correspondence is more obvious in romance languages but I don't know any to say about it. So if you know any it might aid you in remembering the days of the week.
Also you should use hiragana to denote the pronunciation of the kanji instead of romaji as training wheels.

This is probably way too optimistic to hope for. Last we knew, the actual character designs are done ahead of time with Cover and they audition to fill them. Even if this changed, Uproar was teased in December and then revealed in March which is a 3 month window. The earliest Tempus could've filled realistically was May, if everything went right, based on the audition timings and public postings about the branch.
Basically we have to assume that Tempus was discussed internally after talent selection then readied in the same window it took for Uproars to finish their final preparations.

I guess all of this is still technically possible if like, they rushed the designs and models or Tempus only input on the personalities after seeing the models and then they commissioned everything else quickly.

But in that case it means that the Tempus members are responsible for the absolute full retard lore that they went with that is somehow the absolute worst, most self-sabotaging lore that any Cover generation has ever received.

It isn't feasible from a business standpoint to let talents decide on these things. Artists are outsourced and big names can take ages to complete work even if they're working constantly. They also have to go through a ton of steps and checks to make sure a design is good to go before they make the art which is more complicated than illustration jobs, then that has to be done completely before the rigging job. This isn't considering if there's promotional art for a member that needs to be drawn by the mama while the art is being rigged.

They probably have different departments that have to meet deadlines on promotion, licensing and stuff too.

We know that talents are volatile as hell because every company that's been around for very long has some bad names that're dropped very early into their career. It'd be extremely stupid for them to contract talents too far ahead of debut date. From a practical perspective it'd actually be way stupider for them to let talents have a say on these things than to do them ahead of time. After a certain minimum it makes way more sense to hire based off of how easy it is to work with a talent rather than how much actual potential they have.

The problem with the Tempus lores is that this is the first time that Cover has assigned personalities and characteristics to the lore instead of it just being a background. They're not telling the talents where they came from, they're trying to tell them who they are. The problem isn't that there aren't any good indies. It's that the EN indie scene is inherently rewarding of bad behavior. It's based on Twitch instead of YouTube which means that almost all growth is driven by networking, and the vast majority of viewers are explicitly looking for parasocial relationships in small communities. A lot of the trends are just cancerous by nature.

So sometimes you do find good indies but they end up doing more and more pandering or get pulled into drama over time, and they don't stop because it helps them grow.
