I have a question regarding program channel outputs, during streaming. It would be really nice to be able to save a profile, for what apps go to what channels while I stream, and be able to turn them off when done.
Right now I have to go into windows app volume and device preferences, every time before I stream and make sure that my music player, browser and any other program, is outputting separately to the correct OBS channel.
Then when im done, I have to set them all back to default, so I can listen to everything through my desktop speakers. Is there a way to save these outputs to a profile, so its one easy button every time I start and end a stream?
The only solution I could think up at the moment, is another windows user profile set up just for streaming, but that might eat up harddrive space, and im hoping for an easier solution.

Downloading win-capture-audio plugin for OBS is probably your best bet. You'll have to add every single audio source you want to use as its own source in every scene (you can easily put them in one folder though) and adjust their volume within OBS instead of having to bother with Windows every single time. You end up with a ton of sources but in the longrun it saves you a lot of trouble and you can simply hide the ones that don't come up often or that'll never need to be changed after an initial calibration like alerts.

Just as an example, I have my alerts, music player, microphone, game audio, and browser audio all as separate sources. The plus is that system sounds, alternative browser sources, and basically everything else will never come through.

It isn't really surprising, since it's true women legitimately have an easier time passing as males than men do as a female.

What I was told wasn't anything specific (because women are awful at explaining things, or being specific, or describing what they mean, or are feeling something intuitively, etc.) but from what I can gather you can, "just tell how women sound from like their breathing and stuff" lol.
I assume it has something to do with the fact the average woman has a much breathier voice, and when they project their voice it starts higher in the throat. So probably that.
Also the average woman will have more variation in pitch when they speak and a shorter sound from where the voice physically begins higher in the throat. I don't know if those two apply in this specific case.

I think it's time for her to consider doing little tutorial/guide videos about stuff she's had to learn even if it's recently learned stuff. Very simple to do and you just have to fake some familiarity beyond I googled it lol, even if you DID literally just google it.
You could probably do stuff like that, skits, tutorials. Those are very popular and they perform well despite having a lot of competition usually and probably more important, are really easy to do as a video compared to something that requires any more work.

No point having a plan if the plan involves an unreasonable amount of work, especially for the expected return. So always keep that in mind. Turnaround is important and you can always start small and improve your workflow for bigger projects later.

I've done three karaoke streams, had a few people turn up to them, although they never pull numbers.

Pick a variety of songs, but make them ones you know. Don't karaoke random stuff. Don't take requests (unless you have a SongList function). Try to only do one song from each artist.
Consider a 60-90 minute stream for your first ones, and I would definitely do a full dry run a few days before to make sure that you can get through them all.
