How /meat/'s (and other fetish threads) banishment is handled in this world is still kind of up in the air. I remember seeing multiple suggestions from the entire land being spirited away, it being shielded away, to only some of the people and buildings being teleported to a different realm. Of course! The Sunwalkers are very nomadic people, so it might be worth noting that any settlement would be primarily Dragoons with visiting Rosebutas. They’re also very wary of outsiders after being attacked a lot, so the process to get Rosebutas to open up would be very slow. It took Risuners months of waiting to even meet a Rosebuta.

is the guy from the last thread who brought up the bow and arrow thing the guy who had the idea of chuubanite that makes something stronger the more emotion people have for it? is he also the guy who had the idea for the zeplin? if so, he has a tendency to completely miss the point when people tell him his ideas "wouldn't work". also, the guy who said you would need to make the arrow stronger, the bow strong faster, and armour for the hand to avoid it getting hurt by the string seems to have no creativity. he is literally imagining a bow that shoots bullets, and only mentioned the trick arrows because someone else was smart enough to think of it for him. i suggested a chuubanite power that would alter wind currents around it. make an arrowhead out of that stuff and add an activator substance to make it explode and you get an arrow that gains the attributes of a bullet in transit and on delivery. acceleration is better without drag, and the currents upon impact would pull the arrow and the explosion in due to force, allowing more penetration. that's of course just one idea.

alright as i am going through the archive there are 2 things i would like to add to retro chuubanite

1. the ability to "restore" old stuff. for example to reverse teh oxydation of rusted things to have the rust turn back into its original state or to have old wood regernate its cells anew. that way we could better restore old things and make longe ruse of things before we have to throw them away. the more something would be restored with chuubanite the more chuubanite it would take to restore it tho, so it is not an endless thign we could do as the cost would skyrocket at some point.

2. the ability of a person to soulbond with an item he personalyl has a strong bond with. unliek the normal strenghtening that just overall improves characteristics of the item. the soulbond would instead take shape in the form the attachment the item has to the person personally. for example wedding rings with chuubanite could help a couple help communicate with each other similar to the tiara of earlier but for the rings to carry it far and clear the couple needs to be strogner in love with each other, or a singer using chuubanite enhanced microfon to sing would have the microfon carry the voice further and clearer to the people if its for example the microfone the singer used for their first perfomance ever, a pari of shoes somone wore forever that the wearer beleives to make him more handsome actually lets the person exhude pheromones to make him more attractive to the opposite sex. this time however the used chuubanite in the item is mroe of an conductor and the actually chuubanite sourrunding in the air would be "absorbed" by the person through this conductor as the fuel to activate this soulbond with the storng emotion directed at teh item beign the activator.

fun fact, everything can be restored, even without the need for chuubanite. as for the chuubanite effect, the way you describe it makes it sound like you are asking for multiple highly complex, highly context dependent effects, with multiple instances of magic occurring on the physical scale, all for the end result of something that is very loosely defined.

so basically, you want to vaguely "improve" the specific attribute a specific someone has a bond with of a specific something. this is why i dislike using terms like "improve" or "empower". it makes people think of improvement in such a simplistic manner, like everything can just level up or whatever. the improved version of a thing can have completely different parts that are necessary for it to work.
you could have a chuubanite ability that changed it's ability depending on the person who used it, and the context they were using it in, but you would have to have a way of defining the person, and the context, in a way that works for the conceptual realm. uniquely defining every single person with a glyph would be impossible, so you'd have to define the traits they exude, which would be incredibly hard, and could possibly backfire if someone changed over time, if their personality were misdiagnosed, or if someone with a personality similar to them happened to do anything similar.
defining the attributes of a certain context would depend on the context, so i can't touch on it much, but for it to work the way you want it to, you would need to have the glyph represent both the person, and the context. i am imagining glyphs that look a bit like those circles from first contact, but with a second, smaller circle within that represents something else. the effect of this glyph would be unique to the person, but would be vastly weaker than any typical application of chuubanite, and would be even weaker the less connection the person has to the context.
that's how you can have unique effects based on each person's personal connection to each thing, but you would still need to use the glyph in the context you are trying to apply it in. you can't just slap chuubanite ore onto a horse to magically transform it into a car, nor can you slap the very same chuubanite ore to turn a boat into a spaceship by "improving" it's buoyancy the same way you may have "improved" the horse's speed. to have unique effects depending on the context, you can either use different types of chuubanite, or you must define those contexts in a way that would make sense in the conceptual realm, at the cost of increased complexity from needing to define such things.

the soulbond is not about improving at all, i gave several examples of what i meant. it is supposed to have an effect of what the persons attachment to this items is. in soem cases liek the microphone that might seem liek jsut an improvement but its not just supposed to be that.

and each person has a unique soul to themselves, its not just about "personality". if their soul changes so much on a basic level that they have no emotions towards the item anymore then the soulbound would not work anymore with that item.

The most apt description of our society would be the one of a hivemind similar to the one mentioned in the lore archive. Everyone naturally works together under the guidance of Towa towards whatever goals may be desired, be it a shrine to the newest friend of Towa, or reverent worship to whatever Towa desires at the moment. You could classify this behavior as being demonic to better explain the source and underlying links between all those who live within.
If you want to write us as villains for your own needs, the best way to do so would be how the society begins to cave in on itself with prolonged lack of contact with Towa, be it in breaks, or in a late membership stream.

That makes sense to me, Sunwalkers are experienced at fighting Babirusas and schozos. Dragoons are very friendly to us though, according to their rep. Your best bet would be to use the Tunnelhogs for knights. I know you said that you would struggle with the underground bit, but it’s worth noting that the domes they live in are pretty huge in size. If it makes it easier for you then maybe as /rose/ starts to open up, the knights begin to go on surface patrols and explore the world above. Sort of like Fallout’s Brotherhood of Steel. But preferably not the shitty Bethesda kind.
