You can look at their sc income. Miyabi some months gets as little as $500. It's unknown how many members he has. But the only one who has outside work they've gotten from Hololive is Roberu who does a radio program with Daisuke Ono and he was part of the Vchips collab.

None of the other stars have gotten outside promotions. Closest thing is just merch and magazine interviews.

So was Randon actually any good? I've only heard people praise his model and rigging and it's obvious his initial growth came from that, but I looked at his Youtube channel and it's just a bunch of kinda lame 1-2 minute long clips, there doesn't seem to be actual streams there to gauge of he was any good.

my thoughts exactly. at the time when chimon graduated, one of his fellow male hanamori members also graduated - hence why /nijiEN/ was keeping a keen eye on who chimon would be in nijiEN's 5th wave, only for him to never debut in that wave while his fellow hanamori member did.
so /nijiEN/ assumed either he had made it into wave6 or holoStars - only to be proven wrong when a month after Noctyx debuted, both niji and holo announced auditions for their next waves. meaning, chimon never made the previous auditions and had to re-audition for what would now be Tempus. and with niji wave6 still nowhere, chimon opted with the quicker debuting Tempus

Except Chimon isn't in Tempus either. But no one, especially a Hanamori, would graduate with the promise that they'll resurface elsewhere soon without it being a guarantee. Chimon wouldn't have fit in with Noctyx either, so I feel that it still is plausible that things didn't go as planned regarding that and he's being saved for wave 6 instead. If not, then there's also a good chance he could still be with Cover but debuting as a VSinger. His chuuba oshi being Kanae doesn't say much, since he still considered himself overall more of a Hololive fan (Haachama oshi)
