How does one even start streaming? Is the strat just to start doing it, get a few viewers, find someone around your size to collab with(read: steal viewers from) and then keep collabing with new larger vtubers whenever your viewers increase?

People watch for all sorts of reasons but essentially just be consistent and be in categories with lots of followers. I think it’s better to stream in niche categories with a decent following instead

Its common at top level corps because they are so selective that they literally get two choose between two extremely talented people whos only difference is basically that one can sing and the other cant. Why do people just create these delusions?

As far as ESL males (or anyone in general) go, you have to sound more stereotypical, most viewers are American and we have no idea what a Windchestershingshire, Fullsunrullsenheimer, or Los Barrabeanos accent/dialect is nor do we care. Sound like a stereotypically latin, german, british, or whatever else. You'll likely have a lot more success trying to fake a more palatable accent that's part of your language than trying to pretend you're not ESL. It's like how any American can do a surfer voice or southern voice with minimal practice. Find some Youtubers from your country or who are native speakers of your language but primarily make content for an English speaking audience and just copy them. You still need to learn the actual language to a degree but at least you won't be as grating to listen to.

I like streaming (when I actually stream), but I'm too autistic to network and too much of a gosling for my husband that I feel like I can't give chat the energy they're looking for. Yes, unless your neutral is good which most people's aren't. As far as I'm aware I've genuinely never heard an Argentinian speak outside of the character from Moulin Rouge so I had to look it up, but going by this random polo player I found you're better off just learning the English language well and using your accent as a buff than trying to go "neutral" unless you're effectively able to just eliminate your accent. You just want to sound as pleasing to western ears as possible and spanish accents are pretty good for that. Without them, Gordon Ramsey is just some random asshole yelling at chefs and the Dog Whisperer is just a guy yelling at dogs.
