I was just thinking about this, specifically the schedule part but also plans and goals in general. There's a lot I've learned about proper goal setting and routine from that performance coaching course, but I don't even apply all of it and I'm not sure if the advice would be welcome or considered overbearing so I'll just mention my own opinions.

All I want is a degree of predictability for when she will stream and I can adjust to that time. The only time I can't watch her is when I'm sleeping so if I can just predict there won't be a stream for the next 8h that's enough for me. It would be as simple as her telling us when she went to bed (for real). Better communication would go a long way to smooth things over, as another anon said just telling us when a stream is canceled or postponed for an example. I must admit I do get a bit grumpy when she's late for a scheduled stream but that's mostly because I'm very punctual and it triggers me, I'm like a clean-freak but with time, otherwise I'm at my computer almost the whole time I'm awake so nothing really changes and I don't have a real reason to care.

That said, she does plan to go the schedule route which is fine and what that course recommends. This would also allow me to schedule myself more accurately so it would be welcome. I just worry whether the schedule will be sustainable and realistic. She mentioned adjusting to our timezones but her primary focus should be her own. Yes its nice what she said about us being part of this whole thing but we're not equal parts as her, watching a stream is far easier than streaming. Two streams per day should be manageable but not every day, especially with a long break in between as she plans to do to cover the timezones. It should also be noted that lots of us fully intend to catch both streams so spreading them out is either going to make us tired too or we'd be sleeping during the time she's awake and creating dead hours while she wants to lurk the thread. I think it would be fine if only the burger timeslot is the 100% scheduled one and the other one can be more fluid, both when it happens and if it happens.

In general I think a schedule is a good idea and it will help her and us, but the devil is in the details of getting the schedule to work for her not have her work for it. Its important that she considers it a work in progress and not expect to get it perfect on her first try, but see how it goes and improve it over time.

Honestly, the remedy for my perfectionism was to post. Perfectionism in me comes from needing positive reinforcement because I was alone so long that I only ever had my own inner negative thoughts to listen to, which gives your own custom tailored skill ceiling that is unhealthy to always hold yourself up to. I think I'm naturally more of a chest-breather, but when I breathe consciously I try to breathe lower down. I've practiced breathing exercises, and it's amazing how you can reach altered mental states just from the way you take in and expel air. Huge, long breaths through the nose, holding in, then controlled breathing out, repeating for even five minutes can seriously kick your brain out of default mode network.

Morning. Had the thing where I was very particularly tired before the nap and just as I thought I immediately slipped into lucid dreaming. However this time I just couldn't control it, I kept waking up and falling back asleep and waking up... so I just gave up and didn't try to make it lucid just dreamt normally instead.
