KSon has not yet proven why she was so venerated among early holofags.
In fact each passing day, those early Asacoco streams start to feel more and more like flukes, that we just ran with because that was the best content we had for it's time.

VShojo is a big step, but their reputation in the west precedes them. And thus, she has to be able to turn it around, and build the JP branch the way that she wants, in order for it to be anything resembling success.

Her very first opportunity was that stream, where she was supposed to explain her rationale behind joining VShojo.
We expected her perhaps pointing out that VShojo being a lot more talent oriented (which is true) and some basic introductions to the JP audience about her setup.
If the stream ended there, most of this board would probably still hate VShojo but would be curious about whether KSon would be able to turn things around in the JP branch. After all, there are plenty of corpos whose foreign branches have completely opposite cultures compared to their main branch.
So some still held hope.

What we did NOT expect... was the knowledge that her ass was being publicly kissed, and that she was dumb enough to not notice it.

That... well that changed things. That meant she was being used as a way to introduce VShojo to Japan, and the likelihood of she herself being in control... it went out the window.
And then she just had to go on a rant about matomefags building rrats...
She didn't even do that during the entire China thing, and was respected for it. She even TAUGHT other Holomembers to not rise up to silly provocations, but she fell for it herself...

What all this proved is that she is in WAAAY over her head with this VShojo business. She is NOT in control, and it's very likely that VShojo JP will not be anything spectacular.

honestly there are lots of reasons. Primarily though is that they have very few talents. Several of these talents already had a sizeable number of people who have negative attitudes before vshojo was even formed. It only takes you not liking one for that to transfer to the whole group. In contrast the larger agencies may have a talent you dont like but can be easily ignored. Dont like suisei maybe you will like Lamy etc.

In terms of 'holobronies' I think their dislikes stems from the fact vshojo in deeply enmeshed with twitch culture and several talents behave more like facecam streamers than vtubers. The disitinction between a vtuber and the person behind it is pretty defined and is one of their big selling points. As a vtuber entertaining the audience is their job so they dont express opinions that might make their audience uncomfortable. The vshojo/kson model the line between the the vtuber and the person is blurred to the point of nonexistence. Personal freedom essentially amounts to the talent being able to just be themselves which is what their audience often wants. Hololive fans often see this as a subversion of what being a vtuber means.
