I have mixed feelings for this chapter. You've got the fear, reaction and aftermath of the 'main event' of abuse right but it kind of messes up when it comes to the 'actions' of the abuse. There's not much impact to the hits. I think it's exemplified by this sentence here.

Why not both?
I personally enjoy both sensory and emotional descriptions, things that let the reader really live out and feel the situation in their heads. I think describing how things feel, taste and smell is just as important as letting them know how the characters are actually feeling about the situation at hand.
Also, describing emotions can be done through physical details as well, be it just describing a characters body language in detail, or their reactions, voluntary or not, to certain events and stimuli.

While there probably is some blame to put on FGO for making servant meme sheets more popular I think there may also be the fact that going down the jokey/memey route is the only one you can really go for if you're making a chuuba as a servant sheet since you can't really go down the 'cool reinterpretation of the myth' route with chuuba since one, they're still alive in the literal sense and in the their story is still being written sense. Two, there isn't much to run with in regards to reinterpretation anyway.

Theres two ways I think you can get around it:
One is by essentially making up their own history. For example, making up the history and lore behind the Houshou Pirates. This might go awry but if you're going so far as to do a Servant sheet you're already one foot in.

Two is to use the rules established by TM to essentially limit how much you can do. Use skills they have already established, and use lore to limit power. etc.
I think a problem with fanmade Servant sheets is they get too bogged down on details and Fate (FGO even) always kept explanations and details in regards to Servant abilities on the minimum (outside of the story/main plot). Like, Saber's Invisible Air is three paragraphs, her Charmisa skill is three sentences.

I mean the reason that tends to happen is because the servant sheet is effectively being used as something akin to an SCP article to get across some key aspects that make the fan servant interesting by way of (usually) their skills, noble phantasm or 'history' since the fan servant sheet is usually self contained and not attached to a story, which means they need the bloat in their sheet if they want the sheet to have something meaningful in it since it needs to stand on its own rather than be reference/extra material for an existing story.
