I think that hololive's talents are not actually super exceptional. I think many of them are quite mediocre. They're being promoted and pumped up to a level of success that their talent does not justify. It actually blows my mind that someone would rather watch Kiara than Pomu. The only explanation is that those people either don't know about Pomu, or worship Hololive so much they would rather dump their time into watching someone inferior.

Hololive has some good ones. Like Pekora, Gura, and some others. These people have some real talent.

But many of their hiring decisions have not been great. And their management has not always been great. I've heard the management is really abusive to the girls and always playing petty games with them, and several of the girls have spoken out about it. Haachama is an example of someone ruined by bad management.

I think Hololive is not as competent as everyone is pretending they are. I think they're mismanaging things a lot. Some of these other vtubers are quite talented and worth a look.

Of these five, Phase Connect proved themselves to be the strongest. They're a fairly well-managed and well-run company, although people criticize them for trying to be too much like Hololive. They gathered up some excess revenue, and debuted some high-quality people in their 2nd generation. The debuts were last weekend. Some of these people are worth checking out, in particular, Erina, Shiina, and Panko.

Panko is sort of the "mumei" of the group. Cute and demure. I think she'll do well.
Shiina is the loli who blew everyone's minds with her great debut. She's an incredible singer, and a highly talented artist. Top tier vtuber right here.
Erina is the boobs mommy of the group. She has a great voice, I think she's fantastic.

Phase is starting to pull away from the other corps. Their numbers are increasing, their revenue is increasing. It's amazing what good management can do.
