My proposals for what a "rep" means. This only applies to threads with more than one writer. To be a representative, you must get the threads approval.

EITHER:
A rep is voting only, another writer who is deemed more responsible by the thread as a whole will be the "mediator" of the lore. Meaning that they will be responsible for what is lore and what isn't. This person can be overruled by the general conesus of the thread itself should they abuse their power.

or the rep has both roles, meaning they have both voting powers and mediation powers. I advise against this because it has proven to be a bad system with /nasa/ and would require us as a project to determine whether someone is responsible enough to hold the power. It also makes situations like my own where I am technically the non-voting representative for multiple threads weird because by technicality, someone can come in and take over completely and undone what I have done. (Barring the obvious, this won't go through because I know this thread supports my lore.) Nonetheless, there are many problems with the current system for that reason. Division of powers seems like the right option to me.

A thread representative should be the alpha and omega of all archive posts. Thread reps should moderate what gets archived however they see fit. It is up to the threads to rule themselves. If threads want to set rules for their reps then it is up to them. If a thread doesn't care about the lore then they can leave everything up to the rep.

HOWEVER.

All thread representatives have a duty to curate and maintain their nation's lore and votes. If a thread representative obviously cannot handle the job then then they should be pointed out and alerted to the home thread. If the thread does nothing to remove the rep abusing power then /vtwbg/ holds the decision to fire the rep and expell them from the project.

I have failed /nasa/ not holding myself to the standards that a thread representative should have. Even though I did not archive any of my worthless posts I still flooded the thread with ideas but not writing. I also didn't control the autism enough where this became more than one ocurance. Also, following the original proposal that I think I may have made and was voted upon sometime in February, the reps are supposed to vote in matters forwarded to "The Council"™© representing their thread's opinion. This was established as some threads, namely /infinity/, /meat/, /nasfaqg/ iirc had more than one (2-3) posters in the thread that could potentially swing votes, and later the proper voting system was established after a few raids showcased that off-site poals were unreliable.
In short, reps hold voting power on matters that are to be voted on. Regarding lore, it is true that so far it had to go through them. Most of the time, bringing up /nasa/ and /infinity/ as examples, they'd discuss it in their respective threads and then the rep would make the official announcement to this general to be archived. It is also true that, generally, the word of the rep had more weight and they'd been able to reject lore proposals. To threads like mine, who barely have representation in here (adding onto the fact I have a carte blanche from my thread regarding this general) it hasn't been much of a problem, but if other threads are having arguments about it, maybe it should be clarified that reps only have voting/announcement power, but are equal to other anons (of their thread) regarding their thread's lore.
If two anons of a thread are arguing regarding lore, and are from a thread that discourages discussion of /vtwbg/ matters in there (like mine), meaning they are the only two posters of their thread interested in this project, instead of the rep having the final say, we can let this general decide by looking at the various pros and cons of each proposal, perhaps by putting forth a vote. Not sure howuch the voting system has been utilized in my absence, but it is in place for situations such as these, as well.

The members are the (elected) reps of a respective thread. That is, I, as Sakuran rep, would be on the Council™© representing Sakuran, the Hoshiyomi rep (MIA as gas as I'm aware?) representing Hoshiyomia etc. In theory, the council would be comprised of members equal in number to the number of generals on this board. Panon is satisfied, the rest of the thread loves it for it is a good quality piece and well thought out but /risu/ hates it because they feel it does not properly convey their nation since it involves no gemmagic but isntead weapons they never mention that they have. Now what? should /risu/s opinion be overruled because it is a written as a cool piece and most of thread loves it? i say No, /risu/s opinion should weight in here because it involves them and they know /risu/ better than anyone else.

And same with within people of a thread. if there are more people for a thread someone should have some in the lead to coordinate. What if 2 peopel of a thread are of complete opposite opinion and cannot come to an agreement. It happened with /nasa/ a lot but besides some thigns here and there, the thread basicly let it happen. Why? because ultimately /nasa/ should know /nasa/ the best. And a Mediator should be someone that in such a case looks for a way to find common ground and solution.

If a Mediator is abusing his Power then the others of a Thread should actively seek out /vtwbg/ so that the Rest can check what the Issue is and when they deem somethign an Abuse of Power then can overrule the Decision made by the Mediator and if necessary relief him of his Position.

The Priority of input when it comes to written Works should be:
-The Mediator for the Nation the written Work references.
-Representatives of the Nation that come from the Thread of that Nation and are primarly writing for that Nation.
-People from outside the Nation that hail from a different Thread that for one Reason or Another are writing outside their own Nation.

/vtwbg/ withholds the right to Interfere this Order and change Priority if deemed necessary, example Pomerlane Saga.

Also agreed, you need to be familiar with the fanbase and the thread. But most importantly, do them proper justic so when someone from a fanbase sees the lore they can be proud of it.

Absolutely, that's one of the reasons I refuse to attack nations that I do not have my control over. I might write an amazing story but the other party must be partial to what happens.

I've been fair with what I archive and what I don't. I only have one story that has been removed from /nasa/ and that's only because the ending changed. That arc happened with a disagreement between cunt and me with the grand directive. We're clearly incompattible writers in the end. One of us had to leave /nasa/. And since I screwed up its my time to go. Perhaps I should stop writing for /nasa/ entirely and let someone else take over. Even if it means retconning the work I made so far.

I will say this. There was a part in risuner/luknight saga where Plumdrop discovered gem magic on his journey. Luknight wrote that and I originally thought "oh no he fucking doesn't". Probably Morig or 2434. Both are dominate naval powers. Since I helped with 2434, currently about 3 first rates 7 second rates, 34 third rates, 78 frigates and 150 smaller craft. Keep in mind their economy is based on the sea trade and power projection so they can afford it (not all ships are active, some are mothballed)
