It's only a huge gamble if people never figure out your new identity. Otherwise it's not hard to get fans to move over to your new identity. Just look at the replies to Nazuna's tweets. They're full of people with Rushia and Mikeneko avatars. It won't be 100% obviously but you can stream for a living with only a few hundred live viewers every stream.

Twitch's cut has always been 50% from subs, 0% from donos and bits. The 75% figure was them lowering it from people who had that to the standard 50%, and a very small number of people were ever getting the 75 to begin with.
