Okay, so basically, I am doing this to see if it's possible to just fill in all the variables we can't see like Viewer Churn with scattershot assumptions to create a range of possible answers, with the lower bound created by assuming an extremely low churn rate, and the upper bound created by an extremely high churn rate.

If you look at the same stream's view numbers at three different points in time, you can chart out the view growth over time, and potentially isolate the number of views gained during the initial verification window. For example, in the first hour after a stream airs the numbers will be closer to the lower bound estimations, whereas after 48 hours the numbers will probably be closer to the upper bound.

All of this is to create a range, the real numbers are somewhere within that range. Obviously Vox doesn't have 80k CCV, that was a comparison using a stream that's already a week old

Yes, the purpose of calculating at different Retention Rates is to show upper and lower bounds. I also calculated with an assumed churn time of 5 and 30 minutes and got ~295000 Views and ~48000 views respectively.

I listened to the Delta stream the other day. One thing i was struck by was how much of a difference in the quality of singing there was compared to many other karaoke streams.

Of course most girl's don't necessarily do singing as a 'thing', and in a certain respect the karaokes are more like a form of service for the viewers. Like the dynamic of going to your kid's piano recital; it doesn't really mean anything if you don't have a personal connection with them.

Even still, i suppose the point is, it's a great shame that talent got dumpstered by a horde of spiteful nijitroons before it ever really got a chance to shine on the big stage.

Yeah, it's important to understand that in the first place, anykara was the only big player around after the 1st wave of virtual youtube video making came and went (Ai clones). Mito was a big part of that, by shifting the metagame from videos to livestreaming. There were other players and companies of course, but simply in terms of numbers, they were number one at the time, and hololive was just another one of those 'other companies'.

This idea of being number one was simply taken for granted by them as a fundamental reality. The kind of joshing over numbers you see today is nothing compared to the sheer level of mockery and partisanship that existed back then, vs anyone else who made the mistake of not being nijisanji - the callous enjoyment of someone who feels like they can kick down on someone else who can't say anything to clap back.

So the progressive growth of hololive from a just another also-ran, to major player, and then parity, and then superiority, fundamentally broke the brains of those types of wagon-hitchers, and they have yet to recover to this day.

Let make something clear here, while a big chunk of the nijien fanbase dont watch other branches, there are still a fair bit that do watch even before luxiem came. after luxiem came, a lot of the fangirls were already jp fans, to the point they were asking about kanae, kuzuha, fuwa and many more to luxiem in the first months. a substant amount of the boys fanbase know more about other branches than the girls fanbase.

that is true, but i wouldn't expect that to make noise in the holo or other eop fanbases. the only noise you'll hear about mayuzumi is if you are active on nijisanji english twitter and if you follow jp. maybe in a nijien server with some jp fans.
