yeah i have a slightly hard time transitioning from chatting with viewers and back to talking to myself when they stop chatting but i have been getting used to it. i've had one stream where i just splurged out everything that was in my head to 2 dudes that were bored enough to stick around the whole way and i loved the VOD because its literally me telling a bunch of insane stupid stories and random facts from the internet and occasionally the 2 chatters pitched in and helped pivot the conversation and i realized that every stream i do should be more like this where i just say insane shit and viewers can contribute to the conversation if they find my topics interesting. because as a viewer, often im just waiting for the streamer to say something that i can contribute an opinion to, and the biggest weakness is that a lot of streamers just dont have the ability to engage the viewers into a conversation although a lot of new guys dont have chat activity so its rough but i do truly believe that if you go schizo and tell interesting stories lurkers are more inclined to engage with you

The slower i go the more likely it is I'll be able to go 15+ minutes without a single interruption or stutter despite being ESL. I got interviewed by a friend for their writing class homework to explain why I became a vtuber. I realized that I’m only in this because I’m sick of being alone after a triple-whammy of getting dumped by my ex, dropped by my friends, and isolated due to wage slavery right after the pandemic started. I came into this with the intention to become an entertainer in a way that fits true to me, but I still attempt to fit into the mold of the current virtual youtuber meta, because that’s what people say is the correct thing to do. Then it hit me, I’m repeating a mistake of being honest to a fault and relying on people who aren’t me. I set arbitrary goals to hit but even after hitting them, will anybody like watching me or talking to me? I’ll end up in the same place as before at this rate. It feels dicey but I won’t ever quit before my time. I just need to make something I would watch without any help from anyone.
