When you offer an opportunity, a fairly decent opportunity at that, people will often overlook that they are getting fucked over.
I don't pretend Cover doesn't add anything to the equation, they bring a bunch of eyes to talented people, giving them a grander stage to stand on.
But to pretend that they aren't by all indications, earning a LOT of money off the backs of their talent without providing adequate support and backing is just silly.
It's getting better over time, sure, but I don't believe for a second that it's good enough.
Even Gura, their current "golden child" had the rug pulled on a bunch of her projects out of the blue. Not saying she's the best, but shes top billing on all their merch and a bragging right as the most subbed vtuber on youtube. They should be making concessions to keep that feather in their cap.

There are no upsides either, she had nearly everything they have and more as an indie, the one and only thing that she mentioned in her stream that vshojo had was Gunrun himself linking her an IRC channel that she thought was programmed on the spot, but that's just her being tech illiterate, not sure if joining a company for tech stuff that could be solved with a google search is a good reason
