About regulars being mods and still chatting a lot, I see where you are coming from. If I was a new viewer, I'd be put off by it but since I know who they are, it's acceptable. When I check out a new streamer and they have a bunch of mods chatting like regular viewers, it'd feel off to me.
I told them in the form that I would want the mod role on a different account than the one I use to chat, just so I can actually mod from the shadows and only use chat to say something relevant to my mod function. I think modding in general should be done from the sidelines, wouldn't want my normal chatting to mix with my mod chatting.
I have a similar issue with how the D*scord is run, can't have a conversation anywhere without mods replying, steering a conversation or even shutting a conversation down, even if it isn't a rule violation. But that's no longer a problem for me.
