It's the interview with Anycolor's overseas managers. In that, Mr. SO is inspired by the potential of exporting vtubers overseas based on his experience being a student in Indonesia.
One thing that I found interesting is he found that a lot of his local Indonesian clients were always hesitant about the idea of cultivating the entertainment industry in Indonesia. The population is big, but the rampant piracy nulled the potential.

Now with vtubers successfully taking off in Indonesia and top vtubers like Kobo gaining local donations comparable to developed countries' vtubers, it can be concluded that they are wrong. Piracy is still rampant, but not all Indonesian are supportive of piracy, maybe it's just the problem with access like what Gabe Newell used to say. Or maybe the entertainment industry so far is using the wrong business model to gain profit in a country like Indonesia.

Still, I feel like Indonesia now is different from Indonesia a decade ago or earlier. Back then people won't think twice to pirate something, but nowadays more and more people prefer to pay for something instead of pirating it.

The self-hating mentality is outdated, at this point it's better to be overproud than to be self-loathers. We won't progress and have nice things if we keep on hating on what we have. Acknowledge our weaknesses, and then proceed to fix them, instead of becoming bitter and self-hating.

from my observation, prices has gone up a lot over the past decade at least in jakarta
a decade ago you could get a meal (rice+beef rendang+veg+sambal) from a small nondescript nasi padang restaurant for about 6k-10k IDR, nowadays that goes for about 25k-35k IDR.
comparatively here in SG, the same meal from a nasi padang hawker goes for 4-5 SGD in the last decade to 5-6.5 SGD nowadays.
so yeah if you look at the steam game pricing nowadays in IDR, they can skip a couple of meals/eat indomie instead and they can easily grab discounted games which is more convenient than pirating/playing without online capabilities.
