Hey, mapanon here. I don't want to restart this argument, but if we're going to be voting on borders in the next couple days then I figure it would be good to clear up some of the confusion I've seen. First off, watamelon does not have land on niji territory, so I'm not sure where that came from. I've made a rough map to show nation "alliances" and there are only a few countries which inhabit multiple landmasses, most of which because they are old claims that existed before the map was settled.
In pic related we have:
Hololive: red
Nijisanji: yellow
Anya-Petra: orange
Independent: green
Unaffiliated: purple
Unclaimed/Schizo: grey
Anya-Petra is on both holo and niji for obvious reasons. /meat/ has a distant island to go along with their history as raiders in the holosea. /hfz/ has a distant island for their colosseum. /nasfaqg/ is partly on holo so they can facilitate their trading empire as per their lore. /ahoy/ is partly on niji because their piracy and naval might led them to want to surround the body of water they have control over to have multiple attack vectors.
Hopefully that explanation gives some reasoning as to why the map is the way it is, for better or worse. I have no stake in this outcome, but I'll be around to see how the vote goes and make whatever changes are settled on.
Also, are there any other changes we want to add to the ballot while we're at it? Like swapping in /mikeneko/ for /rushia/ if that even needs to be voted on at this point.

Unless you want to write about wars, I'd recommend you not go in sengoku but rather some kind of Shogunate. Idea works good with that, you can choose who you want to be the shogun and daimyos. I can spit some ideas for you.

Yes, but this is an inference the reader makes due to the nature of the conversation (and the rather blunt "but little did Pomerlane know how much she was doing for him!" spiel at the end) rather than something I feel the narrative itself manages to successfully convey on its own. The piece lacks narrative tension, and I think this is generally what people mean when they talk about your stories lacking suspense. In literature, suspense isn't merely a result of not knowing the outcome to a story. Outside of specific "darker and grittier" literature that goes out of its way to kill people off at random like Game of Thrones, it's generally assumed that the protagonists will win all their fights and come out the other side victorious, yet it's still possible to create a feeling of suspense. It's not something I think you can fix in the war campaign portion of the story, since those are being written like battle records rather than a proper story. I don't think it's something you even should fix for those, since writing the war campaign like a story will turn it into a multi-novel length epic, and I sincerely doubt you want to waste that much of your life on a mongolian basketweaving fanfic.

I can tell you were attempting to inject some of that narrative tension into the work with this scene, and it succeeds in that it offers the characters themselves uncertainty and gives them a bit of depth. But as readers, we ourselves experience no narrative tension. No questions are raised that the narrative doesn't promptly, bluntly hand us the answers for, and the scene itself feels like it should be serving as the climax to an arc about Pomerlane and Emylia's increasingly strained relationship, yet it's just dropped in our laps with no build up. I think this scene would have worked better if you'd first released a piece actually detailing Emylia's war efforts, showing her meeting with the princes of Pomerania and so on, rather than just telling us "hey, she did this btw I guess that's kinda important or something" at the end That would have served to create proper anticipation for the reader -- one might find themselves wondering where Emylia's efforts would lead, and hoping her hard work bears fruit. This piece would have then served as the answer to that anticipation, and additionally, it would have been much more heart wrenching to see Pomerlane misunderstanding his wife after cheering for her in the previous chapter. Honestly the subject of building a proper narrative is a very complex one that I can't possibly hope to cover over posts on 4chan, but I hope this at least offered some clarity.

Some fish like picrel are very, very small. It requires no suspension of disbelief to think yours might be some tiny enough to swim up someone's urethra. Well it's coming up in this case because the chemical composition of urine as well as the internal temperature of the bladder would be wildly different between different species of animals.
