This. Japanese anons already noticed the drop in views among vtubers. Pekora and Kuzuha are the top of the two top companies and their views have declined. The bubble has popped. The overseas buff for Hololive has greatly weakened. Is it because COVID-19 is becoming less of a thing? Are there TOO many clips and people just consume those only (at least back then people watched clips but sometimes tuned in to streams to spam whatever memeshit they wanted)? Did all the drama actually significantly affect viewers? (This and the COVID reason affects both companies). The only company growing is VSPO and thats because of APEX and even now APEX is steadily falling in JP due to hackers/cheaters.

I think R6S at least has potential. Nazuna keeps trying but cheating in CSGO is worse than APEX because she's stuck in that game for X number of rounds.That or they wait until Splat 3. Also Naz is very burnt out on the BRs and characters with abilities.

IMO most of their talent is flexible enough to play multiple games with some that are almost hard stuck on APEX. The downside for their group and really any agency is that they have talent that don't draw numbers and are fragmented.

Toto is too nice and is a wallflower, Mimi is..grinding solo Plat-Dia. Everyone is just doing their own thing and the positive for R6S is it got a lot of people in the group involved rather than immediately grouping up with indie friends that they know.

I think they get enough leeway to invite whoever they want and the supposed goal for VSPO is to have a competitive foothold. Makes sense to invite indies and grow their contacts. Several months before Hal's tournament V Gorilla didn't even know about Kurumi Noah and now they're good friends.
Honestly the strat is to "leech" viewers from multiple sources rather than group up and retain the same viewers. This is why you see Hinano and Noah collabing out of the group because they can steer the atmosphere of a stream and get more viewers. OTOH Toto, Mimi and Ren are too chill, Nazuna is a good speaker and wingman but can get goaded into competing or won't let jokes fly if they're critical of another member's performance.
