Watch hours is a complete meme metric for youtube. We already have a metric tracking total interest in a stream: VOD views. They had to cobble together watch hours because twitch can barely keep up their VODs up for a few months (rumao), use copyrighted shit so have to take the VODs down anyway( even mroe rumao) and no one watches VODs there anyway.
