The biggest hint is if you look at his streamlabs top donators and top cheerers. They look like they might be normal - up until you realize they're not daily numbers. (His top three spots have $30,$30, $20 donations. For the WEEK.) His stream numbers aren't bad either, at 4-5k - but people just don't donate.
Fundamentally the entire culture is different, and it makes sense because they make videos as primary content. Their audience is used to getting everything completely free with a passive mindset. In their primary content creation, there is no audience interaction, no zatsudans, no superchats, no member-only content. They feel no obligation to fund the streamer, because their connection is tenuous at best.

This is the "fanbase" that ID will get from them. They won't SC, they won't member. It's easy to say "Let the streamer do whatever they want! You're not the boss of them!" when you're the kind of person who primarily watches clips and videos and tunes in to a full stream maybe once a week for half an hour. These are the kind of people who think just giving compliments to a streamer is 'simping' and paying is downright obsessive. That watching streams is stage 4 of being 'down the rabbit hole'.
