This is the first pair that got unpair in Hololive. Hololive create gens and pairs to help each other grow. Since Coco they break the wall and collab with other gens more. But this is the first pair that ignore each other. They act like the pekomiko thing never happen. Pekora seem like a little full of herself. Now she only collab with her genmates and her kouhai. Without pekora, miko is alone again. Miko dont has a close friend. She done everything by herself. That why her sub gain slower than other. Marine want to help but the BL incident ruin everything.

It's both a blessing and a curse that management doesn't force all its pairings/collabs and kinda leaves things up to the talents, but then you get stuff like this where it's just not fun for anyone.

pekora seems like she lacks humility, her massive success has inflated her ego quite a bit but she's still pretty socially awkward so i think the blending of those two traits has led to some problems.

when i watch miko she seems very earnest and down-to-earth, she's passionate about the games she plays and the things she likes, and she had a rough start as well as a long absence due to illness, so i can tell she feels kindness and thankfulness to her supporters for lifting her out of those dark times.

pekora never really had to struggle, her design was a hit from the very beginning, and she is truly very funny with great comedic timing - but she's kind of two-dimensional, you never really get to see her being vulnerable. she doesn't take being a vtuber seriously, and i've never really gotten a sense of what she's passionate or nerdy about. she's just doing this crazy rabbit character and making serious bank along the way.

i think pekomiko worked early on because pekora needed someone to help guide her in her early days, but once she got the hang of things, she didn't really need any more help from miko and she wasn't interested in teetee which is inevitable with miko because she's such a sweetheart. pekora cares nothing for teetee. pekora just wants to generate comedy.

they had good chemistry but it's over for now. maybe in the future they'll reconnect. that's life for you. everyone has experience with a friend of theirs who drifted away when things started going really well for them.

They are still doing ok in December. But something happen in January. Something that can destroy years of friendship. This is not just an unpair. This is the end of friendship. They have been very close since NND. You can see how close they are on last year xmas stream. Now they are strangers.

Pekora has one of the strictest schedules and stays in character super hard. She takes vtubing seriously in her own way. Being vulnerable is difficult for her, look at the string of random circumstances that made her tolerate and enjoy playing Minecraft with other people.

Pekora literally streams almost everyday, often not breaking her throat doing so and all the while having to keep up her cartoony character because she is very firm about her streams being for all ages.

Even if she keeps joking about being the hero for children, she does care and tries her best in what she does.
Being a comedian is not simply a natural button you can always turn on and off, even with talent it requires your mind to keep moving as opposed to slacking off and just "being yourself".

There's literally no way her default crazy state requires less energy long term than if she were to just be like other vtubers and do some pandering cute laugh.

She actually give a shit and work her ass off to create consistency because that's what a professional does. And pros don't weight down the audience with their problems.
