the common tip to improve that is to make a list of stuff that you want to talk about and have it readily available so that you can refer to it whenever theres no chat activity

you can write a sticky note of topics you can talk about and put it on your monitor, make a mental note of things youve been thinking about or your day as topics to talk about.

Either way it's something that requires time and practice to get better, if you're not streaming you can talk to yourself for 10 minutes a day as an exercise too. Eventually you'll get good enough that you can talk out your stream of consciousness.

I do exercises to raise my larynx and then record myself reading wikipedia. I listen to the recordings and then repeat while trying to sound more feminine. It all depends how much you want to put effort in. I do extra sfx, meme moments, zoom ins and etc when I think the clip itself will be successful or I want to put effort in. Bottom of the line I would say is to add subtitles since It helps people keep being engaged because something is always happening (the text). I try to do 1 clip a day uploaded, but you can spread it out every 2-3 days. Just be aware most tiktoks WILL be dead. Rarely will they get huge engagement unless that algo thinks you're hot shit or you have people boost it from twitter clout or something. Just keep at it, even my most dead tiktoks still usually net me 1-2 followers and as long as that number keeps growing, you're doing something. Godspeed anon!

Pick moments that seem interesting, click-bait (your favorite character that might cause comments or egnagments) or moments you can MAKE interesting by popping in a meme video or a vine boom etc. It's all up to your creativity and how you spin moments. This is a tricky situation. I see a lot of people (specially around the Vtuber sphere) that are hypocrytes claiming to feel lonely or want more friends while pushing everyone aside if they don't pique their interest (aka bigger numbers). On the other note, I can relate to that feeling. Wanting friends doesn't mean you are willing to befriend everyone under the sun, it's very tedious and uncomfortable to force a friendship out of nowhere. For a natural approach I recommend you interacting with their post on a regular basis without hard pandering. Eventually they will recognize you and you both will have a foundation to engage in an actual conversation.

Those were your mistakes. If your expectations were for him to open up, that means you had ulterior motives when you approached him (even if you didn't have an ill will). Maybe you were a bit pushy about it and that gave him red flags. Most vtubers are wary about clout chasers or people trying to take advantage of them in any form so as soon as they feel like you're trying to get something, it just makes them shut you out harder. I might be wrong, everybody has a different mindset, but I would say this is the general attitude of most content creators.

It is often times a game of chance. There's a lot of things that you can do wrong but even if you do everything right there's still a lot of luck involved. Perseverance is your biggest buff, but it shouldn't come at the cost of your enjoyment. I'm personally not made for struggling. I deleted my tiktok because I can't give any energy to that hellhole of a website which is solely populated by unfunny content made to generate numbers and I'll probably nuke my Youtube soon, because it's just not worth the effort. I know I'm eliminating my chances of ever escaping 2view territory, but i can at the very least preserve my energy and i won't have to do things i really dislike.

It doesn't bother me because if my viewers are also streamers, then they obviously have at least a vague idea of quality, so must think I'm worth watching.
It does because my streams will always be second fiddle to their own. If they stream, I cannot expect them to not, which means they're not going to be in mine.
There is also the whole "are we friends or coworkers" thing, but that's relatively easy to get past once you get over your own menhera.
Any viewers is better than none, but some chuubas will just say hello, drop a hydrate, and then lurk.

I use unlisted videos in public playlists. Partly because it means I've got my own archive, and partly because it does mean sometimes people might stumble on them.
VODs go up every Sunday, Clips as and when, and that means it could really hurt visibility on other videos if they get pushed down by stuff nobody is really interested in - who wants to watch the seven millionth playthrough of Skyrim?

I suspect you might be overestimating the amount that they are specifically ignoring your messages though, since you are much more likely to notice your own ignored messages compared to some random guy in chat that you don't care about. However if it's true that they are specifically ignoring your chats on purpose then that's pretty rude. Well it makes sense that people here wouldn't be great at it since it's probably one of the few skills that are completely unique to streaming and people here haven't been streaming for very long. Heck, you even need a chatting audience in the first place to practice it and lots of people here stream many hours straight with little to no chat or even viewers at all. It's actually even kind of bad to get too used to streaming to literally no one as you just start talking to yourself for hours and it gets to be hard to switch to talking with chat suddenly when a chatter comes in.

Most were already content creators whether its utaites, asmr, artists or mildly successful streamers before swapping over to vtubing. very few of them just popped up overnight and blew up one day.

A couple go Viral once in a while like Kenji, Melody, or Chibidoki but there's still plenty that goes into what they were doing right, they didn't just randomly get lucky one day while pushing out boring, mediocre content that no one could possibly care about or enjoy.

The "secret" to being at the "pinnacle" of vtubing is to already be an experienced and interesting person 4+ years ago, otherwise you've got to grow the same way they did.
