We as humans are social animals. We are fundamentally built and meant to be part of a group. "To be independent" for our species is a pathetic, ridiculous cope, found in personality disorders and other dysfunctional individuals who cannot handle the vulnerability and pain involved in social interaction for them, so they isolate themselves. They build this idea of being "independent" by removing themselves from other people and acting as if they were not dependent on them, while in reality they just can't handle it; they can't handle the emotional dependence on others. All of this, while they remain entirely dependent on other humans, but they just build this emotional barrier of pseudo-independence to feel good about failure and weakness, while there's absolutely no independence to be found at all. Isolation is not independence. It's more akin to a fear of vulnerability, or an outright inability to be vulnerable.
Nobody on the internet is independent. Nobody living in society is independent. The only independent individuals are foresthobos illegally squatting on government land and poaching their food away from everyone and anyone and even those can't escape the long arm of society.
