I'm lost too. From the writings and the fact pomerlane anon was originally recruited by roseanon posting in /nijien/ I initially thought pomerlane anon was repping pomudachis from /nijien/. After the first map post I figured they were someone who visits a few threads and they actually wanted to rep the lazulight general. Now it sounds like they actually are repping pomudachis from /nijien/ and they're just confused.

I tend to think of NijiEN as the Holy Roman Empire or Ninisani while JP is basically the Eastern Roman Empire. That's just my view because NijiEN is made up of a bunch of different people from different backgrounds.

Nah anon, I think there's a thing that hasn't come up yet that comes into play with the niji threads.
The holo threads are all specialized and compartmentalized, basically no single holo has more than one general dedicated to her, with the exception of /hlgg/, but er, no one writes for /hlgg/.
If you write for NijiEN, there's the question of whether you're making decisions for Lazulight General or for /nijiEN/ when you write for pomudachis. As long as it's all clearly for /nijiEN/ I don't think there are any issues at all.

Yeah, that's totally fine! We just kinda assume all the holo nations are in some kind of loose alliance, even though most of them have no lore and are inactive. It's more of "not going into specifics" kinda thing.
I think it would be helpful to have some general history so you see where anons are coming from. A while back, /who/ wanted to basically expand their borders over a chunk of the /uuu/ territory, even though /uuu/ didn't really have any representative.
This ended up being repelled, and then we actually got a /uuu/ rep later who is doing a bunch of stuff. So this is more about trying to make it so that future potential reps have the flexibility they need, than limiting your own creation.
So TL;DR, as long as you stay kinda vague-ish on Lazulight, you can do basically whatever you want with /nijiEN/! Don't worry too much about it.

Alright so I skimmed what I missed of last thread and today and I figure I need to give my input on some /NijiEN/ things. Never planned on doing this, but it seems like the reps are in need of some help so I'm doing it now. As a heads up I'm just popping in here to drop this and dip again, my normalfag friends are dragging me to a Hooter's and then a club so I'll probably be gone for a while.
As it stand, /NijiEN/ works beautifully as a fragmented china type of place. All the different little nations working together in an uneasy alliance is just fine. However, there's a few splits that HAVE to be acknowledged if you're going to write about them. Namely, /HAHA/, anya-petra, /yeah/, and /rose/ / /OBSY/.
Lazulight General works fine alongside /NijiEN/ mainly because I don't know anything about them, but should be noted as a separate alliance between the first three nations to come out of /NijiEN/. Perhaps they made a special alliance between themselves as more and more came into existence.
/HAHA/ will have left dragoon territory in /NijiEN/ completely empty. We know that all the actual dragoons have long since left and migrated to /HAHA/.
/yeah/ is another alliance between the four of Ethyria. I don't know the specifics, but that alliance should be noted.
anya-petra is a Pentomo refugee camp, essentially.
And as for /rose/. Don't touch /rose/. Don't move it without my say so, don't fabricate your own lore for Rosebutas, none of that. You can use them in your stories and work off of my established lore, but don't make completely new things up. If you really want to do so, ask me first. And as for Rosebutas IN /NijiEN/, you can consider those to be Sunwalker traders that visit.
Okay I have to go now, I'll answer all questions later.

If there's one thing I learned from my zoo visit yesterday is that animals do not like desert temperatures except the camels. A shame too because we went in the morning where the heat was late 80s to early 90s Fahrenheit by noon. Feel sorry for the visitors who come during the late afternoon where it was 103 by 3 PM. The animals are all sleeping in the shade. They were sleeping in the shade when I got there. Apologies for blogpost. I doubt zoos would get me closer to nature because they're man-mad prisons for animals. But it was nice to see other animals besides toads, snakes, and shitbulls. Spider monkeys were cute. I saw a spider monkey take a piss.

If you're worried about /nasa/ creating a zoo for our amusement then don't. Any facilities that put animals in captivity is solely for the animals rehabilitation and recovery. Animals will be released after they heal. Examples of animals released are baby mammoth and the mossback tortoise caught in the electric fence. We are having a hard time sending the mossback on her way. She's grown attached to the farm food and its people, especially the women who love to take photos.

Once again I must remind Sanalites that Mossback Tortoises are not pets. They are wild animals. Mossback Tortoises are extremely dangerous wild animals. Sanalites should avoid interacting with wild animals at all times. Do not feed wild animals. You do not know what is in their diet nor how they will react to feeding. Anyone caught feeding Mossback Tortoises or other wild animals intentionally will be arrested and charged by Security Forces.

At this very moment, a single potato fry flew across the table and stabbed into the speaker's left nostril.

Lieutenant Akai brought back some order to the table among the hooting: “Ensign, don’t play with your food, you insult our hosts! Sergeant Cales being a fucking nerd is no excuse.” Chuckles spread around the table once more.

Bantering, eating, joking, the Deadbeats were certainly in a good mood. The trip was peaceful, too peaceful for the taste of these ambitious soldiers. They’d been excited to sail on one of the fastest known Moriji ships, but then it had to limp at half-sails to match the Risuner Fleet’s speed and boredom set in. Now, they had finally arrived to the Council’s side of the continent.

One soldier asked their officers about their meeting with the /who/ authorities. “Ah, it was just like in the briefings. They’re pretty efficient if you’ve got everything ready to go, that’s why you guys got off right away.” Justicia drank some beer before continuing: “It was a bit more of a mess hashing things out with our charges. They really just kinda showed up here, right? Good way to get on the Republic’s border agents’ shit list. Some of them are probably still being questioned, but they’ll get through it, I’m sure.”

The priest then asked: “What about the RID? They give you any trouble?” Desuvius laughed that off. “Trouble? From the RID? Come on, we love those guys. I managed to get our hands on Sanallite and Sapling witness accounts for an updated census of the Holosea pirate fleets. We’ll need to review them before leaving.” He then raised a cautionary finger. “Ah, but be mindful. They are very interested in us, assume they’ve got someone listening at all times. That guy at the table behind Justicia has been reading the the newspaper for about an hour now. Don’t mind them, that’s just what they do. Now, Santias, tell me how our arsenal is looking, everything made the trip?” The priest’s smile widened…

The night was winding down, now. Three newspaper readers had passed the torch as the evening went by, and the group of Deadbeats had gone through as many orders of hamburgers.

“Sophiko, you’ve got a bit of an edge, something wrong?”

The soldier whispered. “Well, I was just thinking of why we’re here, and what our mission might mean… Like, you know what our diplomats said, is that really, erm…” Justicia did not speak softly. “You’re asking if we’re bluffing by tying our fate to the Risuners’?” Sophiko seemed a bit taken aback by this. “Don’t worry about our friend back there, this is a political calculus both our nations are well-aware of. The Admiralty’s conclusion was that strengthening our relation with the Risuner people was well worth a potential conflict with the Council nations. Their wood and iron is just that cheap, our shipyards have been at full capacity since that deal went through, and we’re building more. This is no bluff” This didn’t seem to particularly reassure Sophiko, but it replaced her uncertainty with something harder.

“I mean, think about it Sophiko, a war all the way out here, between Risuners and those Eastern Holos, what do you think that would look like? This will be no war of conquest, it’ll be retribution for whatever injury is done to the Risuners. A bit like the kerfuffle with HiRyS forty years back, we’ll smack each other a little bit until everyone’s a bit bruised, get a ship or two sunk, figure out a peace deal that makes no one happy, go home. Well worth the dozens of extra ships the Risuner trade lets us build per year.” Santias smiled and commented: “Geopolitics are truly a filthy thing, aren’t they, Sophiko?” The ensign simply nodded. Then, Desuvius gave his two cents. “Mind you, if any of that happens, that means *we* have failed our mission horribly, terribly. So instead of getting worried about the war, get your mind into those squirrels’ heads and figure out how to make them play ball with the plants and the spacemen, alright?” Justicia had a hearty laugh and raised her mug: “Cheers to that!”

It's also starting to get cold enough at night that some of the greener Deadbeats are distressed. Myself and a couple of other Luknights have begun making adjustments to Luknight armor linings to make them fit Deadbeat armor. Himesama, I have also heard two of our Luknights have proven themselves in battle defending our guests the other day. Citrora and I agree, when we arrive at our destination, we will send our recommendations for their opals back to Nanonanora. The brigands' weapons have also been recovered at great interest to Endus and Gaia, especially the powderized pots of Luna-chuubanite. Cinnama, Puffison, and Citrora could only view the powderization with disgust, as a waste of chuubanite, a dangerous health and environmental hazard. "They'll be pulling little marshmallows out of the carriage walls for weeks," Citrora said. Thankfully, royal diplomatic Luknights of Cooking are trained to make excellent remedies as well as food.

Contemplating /rose/ weaponry. I'm not super knowledgeable on different swords and axes and polearms, but it's nice to dive into. While I'd like to just make a new weapon for them to fight with, I feel like it's better to just go with something that already exists. Depending on how the firearms work and the tactics of Rosebutas you'd still want some melee weapons. Chuubanite is a useful writing device but it shouldn't surpass normal weapons too much. In a very quick search I did, the images show ventilation shafts to be relatively small, probably precisely to avoid detection, as they would be the obvious weak point.
