I think she realizes that not every stream can be a 7 hour stream, otherwise it's impossible for people to catch up on your series and the game would be over way to quickly. I think this is meant to counterbalance the FF14 streams. She said the next video will be up to the Deku Palace, which shouldn't be TOO long either. She also said she ordered an N64 controller because it feels weird to play with a normal one, but I'm not sure if that was also a factor for the shorter stream.

Shirakami isn't the greatest at English but this made it pretty obvious that while her vocabulary is extremely limited, she can actually somewhat make do with it and convey her intentions. She was clearly much better than the others that mostly just said single words and she even managed to convey the passive structure in that one sentence. Good job overall.

I have a suspicion she used to be better at some point and forgot a lot or at least tried to take it more seriously in the past. The way she can understand and express herself with her limited abilities point toward someone that at least made a bit of an effort to learn a language before, look at how the other three all gave up after saying the only related word she knows, while she kept trying to approach the issues from different angles (when explaining the Kotatsu) or by giving additional information to help the other party narrow down what she means (when she identified the passive construction being an issue and added "Watame is dead" to make it clear which of the two is the one being eaten). She was about to solve the last problem with A-chan with ease too, she just ran out of time. All of these are the signs of someone that has a decent bit of language intuition and was actually in situations where they might have needed to convey information through a language barrier before, people with no experience usually just lock up like the others did. I also remember her pre-historic twitch page listing "I know Japanese and some English", too. Maybe she was learning it back then and got too busy with her new career.

I never had the impression she was seriously studying it during that time. Polka was like "Sukonbu have probably been asking themselves these questions" and posed some pretty poignant questions all things considered. She asked her why she has been slacking lately, why she hasn't been doing a lot of idol stuff in general, why it has been so long since her last 3D live, why she did a normal stream instead of a project or a live for her anniversary, why she only has two original songs after four years of activities, why there was a two year gap between her songs, that kind of stuff. I didn't take notes or anything so I'd have to rewatch half the stream to give a proper recap, but just from memory, she said that she hasn't done a live since her last birthday and also has no plans to do one for her upcoming birthday in October either (or, presumably, a paid solo live), prefers to do stuff together with her friends, might want to do a Bakatare Circus live instead, did Ayafubmi stuff and appeared in lots of birthdays lately etc., but Polka said that these are different things altogether and don't compensate for slacking on her solo activities. As for why there has been no new song until now, Fubuki said that she doesn't really think about stuff like making new original songs by herself and her Mane-chan hasn't been pushing her into that direction, so she has put it off for a long time and stuff like that, same thing for the lives, probably. She said she has been trying to overcome this mindset a bit lately but it's difficult without outside pressure for her. She has mentioned this exact issue several times in the past, as well. I think one of her new year resolutions was exactly this - being more proactive in her activities, but I guess she kinda fell back to old habits at some point. Polka also said she could have done a live to commemorate and hype up the release of her new song instead of just releasing it, but FBK said she didn't even consider that possibility. There might have been more interesting stuff, but this is unfortunately all I remember right now. It wasn't an awkward atmosphere or an interrogation or anything, just an honest conversation between peers, but I guess it did make FBK a bit self-conscious, so she said she might have to private the stream afterwards because it got a bit embarrassing, but Polka told her not to, which she then agreed not to do - but as you can see, she still did it. That being said, I don't mind that she doesn't do any of these things, I enjoy the Shirakami that does whatever she wants and enjoys herself while doing so, but I thought it was an insightful conversation for sure. We are own worst critics, but I think it's good for her in the long run. Having things you've put off/slacked on brought up sucks in the moment, but it forces you to acknowledge them, and hopefully leads to a resolution. And even if her resolution is simply "I am not as interested in those things anymore, and would like to focus more on streaming and collabs", it still settles lingering questions for herself and her fans, which is good for everyone's mentality. Which, I assume, is why Polka was willing to bring it all up, especially since, with Fubuki's seniority, there aren't many others who would be willing to do so.

A cute 8/10 tropical belly - only a small part of the image, but nicely highlighted by the summer sun's rays. Shoutout to the wind for turning the jacket into a cape where it matters.
I like the warm colours, contrasting with the blue and white near it, and the strong but not overdone lighting differences - from yellow-white abs to orangey sides. Sadly, the curves on the sides of the belly don't quite match at the waist - the linework could've used some refinement there - though they're quite well-done individually. The left side (from our perspective) highlights the pelvis bone with an indent in a moderate curve, while the right side goes all in on the tried and true hourglass shape. The belly button is simple and not too deep or otherwise emphasised - it does its job and has appropriate lighting around it. Friend's little swimsuit skirt is almost as cute as her face and hat, and does sit low enough to let two hip lines at least hint at the path towards the mons pubis.

Since you alluded to it, Polka does has a tendency to flex her extra experience points that were carried over. She doesn't treat Sora like a goddess like all the other newer gens, and is very relaxed about seniority when she gets friendly.

I think this makes a lot of sense, especially in the context of their conversation a bit earlier in the stream. I don't remember the exact details but they were talking about Bakatare and Bakatare Circus and how they are basically one and the same these days because Polka is always invited. Their dynamic works really well and I'm 100% sure that Fubuki is the one that keeps inviting Polka, so I guess in a way they have been helping each other with their weaknesses. You can see they have a lot of mutual respect for each other like that, it's a great dynamic.

She did say way back in the day that she just thought of herself as an otaku and that she found it stressful to have all these people look up to her as Hololive's #1 like she was supposed to be the next Sora or something. She joined before the idol idea was implemented, so perhaps she just doesn't care to devote her time to it, being content with just making a fun cover now and then while doing otaku stuff with her friends.

That is also true, I think she still sees herself like that at her core, but I feel she also showed a lot of passion for the idol aspects during From First or the Holofes, especially during her cheer stream on the second day. She also keeps expressing interest in a solo live of her own whenever she lists her wishes for her future activities. I wouldn't be surprised if her motivation comes in waves and she doesn't really know what she wants herself. She said it herself in the stream with Polka, sometimes she gets a rush of motivation and wants to do that kind of stuff immediately, but there are usually months and months of preparations to get a project like a live or a new song off the ground, and her motivation tends to waver before she really sets the process in motion. I guess she just needs to figure this out for herself. Or maybe Mane-chan should stop being so passive and push her a bit, who knows. We know FBK can be very ambitious and persistent when she sets her sights on something, but finding the motivation to start something is almost the most difficult part, I guess. I can relate for sure.

That is a sweaty, smelly 8/10 belly. She's clearly excited to see (You), and though it's a shame noone has opened the shirt to uncover Foobs' foobs and the sides of the belly yet - I'm sure it'll happen soon after this moment - her belly in this image reflects her and the scenario's mood well.
Speaking of reflecting, the lighting on this belly is pretty heavy and mostly well-done...but it loses a point because of the sudden break lines on the hips. You can tell the artist wanted to strongly contrast the shape of the hip bones on the sides with the round central belly, but more subtle shading would have worked wonders for me here - like this, it almost looks like someone is pointing a flashlight at friend's belly, and the hips are where its cone of light doesn't reach. A shame, because the lighting is great otherwise.
Apart from this, there's no flaw to notice besides maybe some unfinished linework around the belly edges. There's a nice amount of fubufat around the belly button, which is drawn in the simple, but effective "dark triangle with lines going up and down" side perspective style - and the slight indent from the belly button up is a nice touch as well. The sweat drops are a well-placed and flavourful detail that emphasises Friend's moistness all over.

It's just you, I think. I enjoy the FF14 streams as well but it isn't a great game to stream, you'd be totally lost if you started on a random part, it's hard to follow for Friends that don't speak Japanese and the streams are just too long. Majora's Mask is a great game with fun characters and neat mechanics, has a variety of self-contained and reasonably sized zones so it doesn't matter if you miss a stream and she is intentionally segmenting the stream at reasonable moments. And there is the nostalgia factor, not only for the viewer, but for FBK herself. I have been enjoying the streams a lot so far!
