It does happen where you end up with different ends of the spectrum so people shouldn't put ALL their weight on this thing. However, what you -can't- deny, and you can confirm this with your own eyes, is that essentially every single song which has hit 100k likes is in the 2 million+ area. That's where the issue comes from. Because we have an extreme outlier here that doesn't make any real sense.

The picture used an older posting of Renai Circulation that has since gained more likes, more comments (3.3k, which is also way way way ahead of any single video of its size) but is "slow" with its views. The thing about what Fauna said about not really caring about numbers is that it's usually better to care about numbers too much than too little. They're your primary metric for gauging your performance as a vtuber and the ones who do care about them tend to end up as more entertaining vtubers and creating better content. The only vtuber I can think of who cares about numbers to the point of being a detriment is Kiara and it's because she goes menhera over them. But the trend goes that the more a vtuber cares about growing their audience the better they are to watch. The ones that say they don't care about numbers end up putting out shitty content that nobody wants to watch and it ends up being a self fulfilling prophecy.

I respect people who put in effort and want to master their craft. I don't see what "not caring about numbers" should be something laudable for a profession that only has those numbers as a way of telling whether you're actually doing a good job.
