Long term, you'll have to be a good idol obviously. But for day to day stuff you mostly just have to be a good streamer I guess, since that's where the company gets its money. Keep in mind that since Kawaii is a Japanese company, if you currently mostly play games that are a pain or actually just impossible to get streaming permissions for, you're probably not gonna enjoy streaming very much unless you're willing to pick up new games lol.

In terms of what kind of person they're looking for, I can't speak as to what management wants (besides someone who won't breach contract and waste a model lmao), but I think what the current viewerbase wants is someone who can carve out their own niche in the company without being overly disruptive to the overall viewer culture. I recommend trying to catch a stream or 2 (or vods so you can do it at your convenience) from every current talent so you can get a feel for it, especially if you're coming from Twitch.

Other than that I think most of us want someone who can cover dead hours, partly so those hours are filled, and partly so the overlap doesn't get even worse.

A few things besides what they say on the application form
Singing should be considered more with the idol project, song covers, video editing, mixing and karaoke skills should be shown if you have any.

They seem to have a bias for zatsudan streams over game streams, also management seems to enjoy Charlotte's gimmick streams so if you have any creative stream idea share those

As much as GFE is meme'd about here I seriously doubt that is a main factor in the hiring process so don't force it if it isn't your thing (people will think of you as gfe anyway)

If you aren't sure about your "character" think about what kawaii is missing. Can you do a calm and cool kuudere? Can you pull off a chuuni? I don't mean you need to keep a character going but having a way to set yourself apart from other applicates and existing talents is a good idea.

That's just a few things I think kawaii management might be looking for. Also watch this Shiki stream she gives a lot of advice for applying to small corpos.

If you're not feeling it, and it isn't who you really are, it will show through eventually.
