>my oshi has about 50 viewers a stream
>know that since chat isn't a flood of text, if I type something out she will see it and judge it and might respond
>don't say anything for the entire stream

How do I be social?

comment on things happening on her stream. ask her questions related to the topic. hell, a reaction is fine.

>> No.25699154

React to what she is saying.
Say some relevant trivia.
Point something out.
Ask questions.

When chat gets too groomer-y change the topic. They'll secretly thank you for it.

>When chat gets too groomer-y change the topic.
It's hard to find a moment when a 2view chat isn't grooming central one way or another, so how can you tell when it is way too much?

Chatters trying to steer the conversation towards sex unprompted and weirdly personal questions. People saying spamming cute in or making on-topic sex jokes is usually okay.

People spamming cute or making on-topic sex jokes is usually okay. Really mangled that sentence.

Try saying shit that makes her laugh. You've watched long enough to have a couple of jokes. Just don't be cringe and overthink it.

>> No.25700379

At least it's not on twtch. There's a feature that shows who's watching the stream. I got called out once for not chatting. So I said "aha h-hey im just eating while watching that's all haha..."

I'm usually active in a different chuuba's chat while she's streaming but I didn't have the heart to tell her

If a vtuber calls me out while like this while i'm lurking, i will close the tab, unfollow/unsub if i follow them/am subbed to them and never come back. Let people lurk in peace.

On YouTube you're 100% invisible until you actually say something in chat.

I don't think you show up if it's an embed. e.g. Holodex.

I'm the opposite if I turn into a 2 view, I like when they read whatever random shit I say since I oshi a corpo vtuber where chat is a always flooded and getting read by them is an accomplishment.

Once you start talking, you don't stop.
Objects in motion tend to stay in motion while objects at rest tend to stay at rest

To make my point clearer, once you break the ice, it takes less and less effort to keep the interactions going. The streamer will warm themselves to you (in rare cases the opposite may happen) and having a conversation will become pleasant.
Just be aware that just like in an actual dialogue with real people, what you say matters; don't just go saying whatever you want to say, unless the streamer likes that.
