the vtuber community grew more in japan during 2018-2020 because even the top dogs would feed the smaller ones by collabing and interacting, thats how holo even got to the point they did.
but as soon as holo took the number 1 spot the interactions stopped happening between the top dogs as holo walled themselves off.
EN was born into holos walled garden but those who ventured out found more people they liked or found they liked the holos more, the latter being fine in the end because at least they have perspective for their choice.
