After losing Coco and Rushia in less than 1 year it's safe to assume they're down on iconic top earning members. Those two were top SCs earners and there's no reason to doubt they were also selling shit ton of merch. Pekora couldn't compete with Coco & Rushia in terms of SCs and yet she has sold merch worth over 1M USD then what those two were making couldn't be any less. Are all girls in Hololive great in their own way? I'm sure they are, but if Marine, Pekora, Miko, Aqua and 2-3 others graduated right now this company would be an empty shell, just another vtubing company with close to none iconic members. As long as those talents are there, the JP branch will be fine. EN on the other hand doesn't really show any signs of revival and many of them are either stagnating or declining. I'm still hoping for a miracle with EN3 but that may be wishful thinking.

Not just the termination, but basically unpersoning their biggest earner with one of the biggest fanbases, especially when they had lost their other big earner not even a year ago. Now Pekora is on break, Marine is having a menhera episode, so that pretty much leave Miko and Korone as the big carries.

Even then their content is stale, too many talents with not enough diversity in content and personality, it's basically unless you really like a specific talent there's no reason to watch.

The talents also feel a lot more distant with each other. I guess that's because you never know who will Rushia next.
