yes, they're all so poor the entire Holomyth bought new houses and are renting new offices just for streaming.

Yes, they are paid monthly. Which is why Ayame and Sana could do lot of lot of Hiatus

rumao, if that's the case, then she would do superchat reading streams more often, like the nijis people claim to be so relevant.

>> No.25432764

>>25430914
What for? If the contract is fixed salary, or mere 5% of SC as bonus , then no matter how much SC she gets, only cover will profit. Then it's better to just work the bare minimum.

of course they are paid well. If not, Gura would have revived her other self.

it might not be just a matter of money, it seems like not everyone in Japan likes renting to gaijins so maybe that's just what was available in her area

Wouldn't be surprised if they take home at least 6 figs, but probably much less than popular independent streamers on twitch/youtube.

I'm actually interested in what benefits US-based vtubers are getting or if they're just contractors. 401k, health insurance, even company stock, that shit adds up to a lot.

they get paid in snacks and high-fives. if they perform especially well, Cover takes a long wooden box from the top shelf and lets them pick one toy from it to keep and play with.

There are (or were) at least 2 publicly available recordings of Holomem talking about it. Coco told everyone that Cover takes half and I think it was Marine who talked about Pekora being able to negotiate 60/40 split in her favor. So, jewtube takes 30% and what's left is split 50/50 based on standard contract. After that they have to pay taxes. Also, I'm not too knowledgeable about Apple Pay but at least in the past they used to take 15-30% so unless something changed people who donate using this method get their donation cut by Apple before jewtube and Cover can even get their shares. So when you consider that 10$ donation turns into 2.5-3$ pre-tax it's not exactly great. That's why buying merch is always better.

>> No.25436871

It's this, if you're a foreigner in Japan you're only going to get shitty apartments unless you have JP relatives or are obscenely wealthy

>>25436096
This is correct, if you superchat via IAPs on iOS the holo only gets 24.5% of your money (50% of 70% of 70%)

>> No.25437270

Maybe they can adjust the percentage from each income source in the contract
From adsense, sc, member, and merch

Gura's distribution is probably
80%, 20%, 80%, 20%

>> No.25437690

They get fat cuts taken by taxes and YouTube and Cover probably takes more than they admit but it’s still amazing money. Easily US specialty doctor or silicon engineer at the end of the day

>> No.25438074

Why do people always bring taxes into it? It's not like that's unique to vtubers, and literally nobody uses their net take-home pay when they're talking about how much money they make

>> No.25438177

>>25438074
because we don't know how much money they make so we're trying to make an estimation

>> No.25438207

Does Gura still have around 8-12k members? Meaning assuming that a majority of her members aren't in ARS, she's making around $15-20k a month (pre-tax) from memberships alone.

She also gets game sponsorships, the taco bell thing, and an extra few thousand in SC every month including Cover's cut.

>> No.25438500

Gura, Ame and maybe Fauna/ Mumei depending on what state theyre in definitely pay the least in taxes
The japs pay a crazy amount in taxes (no clue what indotaxes are like and dont care lmao)

>> No.25438520

>>25438074
It's to emphasize that it's not their actual salary. In some countries what you get paid from your employer already has all or most required taxes paid prior so what you get is what you can spend. In this case Cover takes shit load of money and then pays them scraps and they have to pay taxes on that. Depending where they live that remaining 2.5$ from 10$ donation could turn into 1.7-2$ which is bullshit considering it's not enough to buy a cup of coffee in most places.

>> No.25438614

>>25437270
worth to mention that all greedy e-celebs don't give a shit about memberships and superchats, all they do is pump out new videos to make more ad/premium money, which is coincident with what yt told in the blog here
>Ads have been at the core of creators’ revenue streams, and continue to be the main way that creators can earn money on YouTube

>> No.25442243

>>25438708
>talking about my own actual salary
In this case, the bigger number you say, the better you look. Regardless of how much of that you actually take home
The reason these threads usually talk about the chuuba's net income is that people want to know how much money is actually going into the hands of the talents. I thought that'd be obvious?

>> No.25442467 [DELETED]

Top tier Hololive (think like top 15) clear 7 figgies a year easy. For ENs that probably includes Gura and Mori. Everyone else in the company makes high-to-mid six figures. They'll all be millionaires before it's over, no doubt, unless they just give up and stop streaming regularly super early into their career and take big huge breaks all the time and stuff. Probably the only way someone could kneecap this easy gig.

to add to this, it's easy to bait and go "ermagherd they be quajillionaires going around and buying moguyachts" looking at just the supacha numbers, but that's incorrect when we look at how much the net amount might be

>> No.25442995

If living in the land of the free all my life, as well as having moderately successful relatives in the entertainment industry) has taught me anything, it's popular entertainers always get paid well. However, it's also a rather volatile career path. I know someone that makes around 500 bucks a day during their gigs, and that's not even remotely scratching the kind of numbers and popularity of even the least popular Holo.

Coco commented a few years back that she and a genmate were talking about their salary(early on) and how low it was. But they get a cut of merch and superchats and memberships and ad revenue.

>> No.25443160
