Selkie is always on point about keeping up with chat discussions and playing off of their chatter's energy. Unless she's playing a multiplayer game like Apex, which I guess is reasonable. Yeah that's accurate of MMOs, especially Korean MMOs, they treat their playerbase like slaves. Though (OldSchool) RuneScape sets itself apart by having well written quests with challenging puzzles and bosses, and significant, often game-changing rewards. Not the "Kill X, deliver Y, talk to Z" bullshit that every other MMO peppers into their games. I'd even go so far as to say that OSRS beats out most RPGs period. Grinding is a spectrum in that game. The devs specifically designed some of the leveling methods to be "low attention" at the cost of less exp per hour, like setting your character to process an entire inventory of materials, only checking in to refill his bag. There are training methods for most things that are a lot more involved (and a lot more autistic if you ask me), but they make things go by quicker.

my problem with a lot of vtubers is that they don't. They "lie", which I dont have a problem with, but then put no effort into maintaining it. What even is the character and what isn't when they use their vtuber persona to both play a character, yet also represent their real person that contradicts the character with no distinction between the 2? At least Mari (as far as I've seen I'm new to her) keeps it a little seperate by not contradicting it on stream, when someone does one stream pretending to be single to do GFE and then the next stream talks about fucking her bf that's an instant drop. Same with other things like if they act like they enjoy a specific type of game, which is fine if they do it well, it's entertainment, and then on another stream talk about how much they hate the game and just playing it for content, then whenever they play it I just feel like whats the point, I now know it's fake and can't enjoy it anymore, even if I knew it was fake beforehand it's "officially" fake now
