Update on the "Life with a lion isn't easy y'know?" project (still don't know a better name). While starting to write the first chapter a doubt came to my mind; should I expand the characters and make (try) deep and somehow complex characters or just stick to a more simple personality. The decision won't change the fact that I want to add some humor but it may be beneficial for future conflicts if done properly, what do you think?

I feel like this needs that epilogue if you want it to land. The main character has indeed changed but hasn't really had the room or action to really show it and make it really have an effect.
Anyway, the entire arc as is has been really enjoyable to read through and sets up some interesting dynamics but like this chapter (assuming this is actually the arc ending)kind of fails to be self contained for delivering any kind of narrative payoff.

Basically, the concept of "death of living beings" was fucking shot in the face and nothing more complicated than a germ dies. Instead, it functions to the best of its abilities, despite the damage done. It's especially apparent with the brain, functioning of which can't be externally shut down - neither from narcotics, nor from putting the aforementioned brain through a fucking blender (the brain smoothie still has nerve pulses going through it).
(Conjecture ahead) Metaphysically, any living creature continues to exist in its unadulterated form, but its reflection in the real world is distorted by brain damage, illness and trauma, which gives hope of reversing said illness and bringing them back for anyone who is not dead after the omegaK-event.

But honestly, it could either get bad closure or no closure at all because I was spending weeks just to write a 3,000 character chapter when I read some fics that are 17,000 characters and extremely well written. For what its worth, you write really compelling chapters. I feel like I say this every time you've posted a new chapter of Say Can You See but your prose just feels really good to read through. The overall plot may be kind of a mess but due to not really getting something to tie it together until a late point in the arc but I still enjoyed reading through it.

I have started a prequel to Positive ID thats about how you and Reine got close, but I'm torn between the plot I have that I like and scrapping it for something that incorporates the supernatural elements of first part.
