So I realize now Neir has incredible designs that are fun to sketch but holy shit doing real linework and shading on all that fiddly shit would be bananas. I actually simplified the underwear because the original design is a lace up thong with butt slits and the bra defies description. I've come to realize even though vtubers are "anime" style they aren't drawn anything like actual anime. For animation designs are simple, lineweights are thick and constant, shading is simple, no noses, etc. For vtubers the mamas/papas go insane with complex shading, hyper detailed designs, transparency, etc. Ina's alts and Irys base are both just pain to draw. Then again for Kiara who I draw a lot I realized you can just draw cute/hot anime girl, give her orange hair and ear feathers and you can get away with nearly anything.

Not the artist but a colored sketch can be done in under an hour even for those of us doing our reps. Clean linework, fixing lineweight, anatomy, poses, proper shading, etc takes hours. Even Ina, who I now worship as a god after starting drawing reps in earnest, takes a few hours to go from blank sheet, concept, pose, rough, sketch, lineart. Unless it's something I find interesting hard to invest that sort of effort in random requests. I've spent 30 minutes just trying to fix a goddamn leg, zoomed out and mirrored, and realized it's completely fucked. I used to think "once I'm decent" I'll finish more requests but as I get better my actual product improves 10% and my understanding of how my art sucks improves like 200%. Apparently this process never ends.

this one is SFW, the more anatomy you know the better you can convey forms with simple shading, some things that need to be fixed asap are the shadow tits they should be round and not a straight line, and the colors are too opaque, the lights in the tits have a weird shape since the tits are round for them to have something liek a line going down as a light makes no sense.
