The volatility of how much the person behind the vtuber persona is just as objectively important as the persona itself will never make push vtubers into the same established presence that other multimedia IPs with multiple characters have. Everything hinges on the person so much that one wrong move can get you Rushia'd out of Hololive canon for example, its hard to plan a long lasting IP around the whims of very volatile unconrollable real humans behind the mask unlike let's say anime characters and their replaceable seiyuus. People forget that despite how entwined the person behind that voice is to the avatar, they're still seperate entities. Kson isn't Coco and Coco's 2d avatar alone isn't Coco either.
