If we can get our power back we already have it. Spacesuits are equipped with VR and AR interfaces. We have full 100% body control VR. Its how we do simulations. That said we don't have forcefields to do full Holodeck stuff. Regardless we'll have to figure out how to do VR in gravity again.

Mount And Blade is a bit better, especially with teams of characters, but the moveset is still pretty rigid and limited. Personally, I always run on the assumption that /meat/ generally doesn't put the "long pigs" to work (although they're often worked, which is completely different) for a myriad of reasons. In this case, though, since the meat will likely be of high quality (given the amount of freedom they're given), putting them to menial probably would lead to inferior final products, at least according to the /meat/ connoisseurs. Overall, I would say it's probably not worth the effort, especially when you consider that /risu/ seems to need skilled labour as per >>24836621, so an unwilling slave force would likely not help (if they don't outright try to sabotage the project).

Speaking of revised endings I have two scenarios planned out as alternative universes. One ending is Mac trying to take things into his own hands and making things worse. The other ending is the principal convincing the security general he is going to lift the lock down but wants to talk to the senate about negotiating a compromise with council or overthrow council. I'm thinking about going with the latter end because /nasa/ has had a taste of freedom without technological tyranny ruling over their lives. I still have to write the latter up. But I can post both passages in a document and see what works.

Its pretty bad but not as bad as we thought. We're able to soften the crash using reverse rockets. So the damage is not catastrophic. Everything can be repairable with the right materials and tools. We've welded shut most of the open holes. We still have to de-rust and repaint a good chunk of the hull. We're waiting for warmer weather to paint the hull. Burns are expected but they aren't too bad. Most of the momentum has been slowed before atmosphere entry. The burns aren't deep enough that they melted through the hull.
