I definitely agree it's possible, I just don't think it's something a majority of people that are in this particular situation have a great chance of doing, basically people with no friends, no family connections or bonds, no hobbies, no drive, etc. I think for most people it's just hard because the drive to even start these things is fleeting, and since no one is really in school or other situations where you're kind of "forced" to interact and learn to socialize it's completely on them. Finally sort my shit out, make shapekeys for my model, set up the blender->unity->vseeface pipeline. Test.
Exporting works fine, the model loads, it starts moving, be happy, then notice the mouth barely moves. Test some more.
The blendshapes are not working (the mouth was only moving because I had the experimental jaw bone movement checked and my model has a jaw bone).
Go to blender to try to figure things out and add my blink shapekeys.
Turns out I CAN'T make blink work because I have round eyes and shape keys interpolate vertices so the eyelids clip through the eyes instead of rotating around them.
I'm so fucking cursed. Trying to figure out a hacky way around this now, but one thing for sure, because of that the model won't look as good as it should have.
