Anyone else wonder where this industry is going to be in like 10 years? Will channels of graduates stay up forever? Is this the golden age now that kids will call us grandpas for liking a certain chuuba?

Well plenty are playing the characters in their 40s now so I don't see why not. The only thing I'm dreading is the revisionism to come. Major corpos and normie hypebeasts would probably die off if revenue becomes less but i think Vtubers will likely never cease to be. perhaps at worst as a niche community but they will never cease to be as a source of entertainment as long as streaming services exist

But yeah, I really can't see the industry surviving that long, though Vsingers may be able to outlive it if their music becomes mainstream. I'll probably lose interest in chuubas as a whole the moment my oshi graduates but I know that I'll move on to their roommate since they used to be an utaite and still puts out covers every now and then.

People have been watching other people yelling at video games since 2004, and I don't see it ever disappear soon.
