problems with azu:
dead air. so much of his streams are filled with either dead air or dead talking. whilst "like, so, yeah, i guess, uhhhh" is worse than dead air. i went through his hat in time playthrough, and timed his speaking over a 1 minute segment, including bits where he's just making brbrbr sounds with his mouth.
i got 15 seconds.
sure, maybe the timing is fucked up, but that's still an indicator of how much dead-air there is.

another problem is the game choice: hat in time (5 year old story based game), splatoon 2 (team shooter, i checked out seven games, he lost 5), and minecraft (reliant on zatsu skills...). the only theme here is that these look like kid games? i know plenty of adults who play mc, i'm not saying your can't, but the three together have no theme, and are either underviewed or oversaturated. there's no problem with picking underutlized games, but you need to give some input on them, not just "here's me struggling to play an old game"
i know he had issues with his non-existing graphics card, but still.

the constant pestering the thread for basic advice on how to get things set up burned a lot of good will. i've seen two or three instances of other people getting annoyed at stuff like "should i be on the left or the right for just chatting streams?", when you're a 4-view that isn't doing a lecture, jc isn't a good category.

If you're talking about 3d hair clipping, it's often because people don't add colliders in the front or back to prevent the hair from colliding too much with the body - the body is not exactly a solid substance that can block the hair without springbone colliders.
You'll see rarely see hair clipping in anime games, so I'm not sure why vtuber models and 3d lives kind of forget these things

you are talking 3D yes? hair has always been the bane of 3D. modern 3D tech especially crappy anime style shit doesnt have good enough collision physics to handle fabric and hair colliding into each other. also remember this is live tracking, most animations with hair and fabric can be independently animated and baked into the model but no one can control how hair flips its shit when its live. theres a reason things like physX hair nukes game performance, hair is still pretty much unsolved when it comes to 3D

I make the changes very close to the edges of what my clothes cover and position my model in OBS to take more into the shot so there's always a risk of me moving one way too much and revealing something suspicious. Who knows, maybe I did reveal a tiny bit before and no once noticed it.

yeti owner here, get literally anything else. fucker is wayyyyy to big for a usb for absolutely no reason. even with a rode desk mount and auphonix shock mount, it's simply too big and unwieldy. it also suffers from a distinct lack of professionalism, which wouldn't be an issue if not for the price. the connector is non standard (like 5/8 instead of 3/8 or some shit) so you have to screw a brass connector in before attaching it to the mount or the arm. then there's the fact that it's supposed to be placed parallel to the speaker, that is to say, vertically right side up or upside down. at least with my setup, this is unnecessarily restrictive, and I would definitely opt for something that can be pointed directly at the mouth next time.

Yeah I have to go out of my way to even find a livestream to watch and nothing is categorized whatsoever so I really don't even bother looking for people on Youtube. Twitch's recommendations are usually pretty decent and if I want to find someone playing a specific game or doing a specific activity, it's fairly easy whether it's a Vtuber or not. Twitch's discoverability is considered pretty bad, but Youtube's barely exists unless you're also making more traditional video content which most people who are interested in streaming don't want to do.
