Mori's friendship with Kiara was built on how close in promixity they were to each other. They could go on trips, dates, and have sleepovers whenever they want. When you take that away, that threw off Mori and she wasn't sure how to keep the same...for lack of better term spark alive. Also I imagine it's easier for Mori to open up and have emotional talks face to face which Kiara must've really valued.

That's always been a Rainforest problem though.
