We found a formula that seems to go well with the mammoth calf's diet. Also the mammoth calf seems to have bonded with the nurse. She likes to play with beach balls with her trunk. She's got no diseases, no injuries, no parasites other than ticks and fleas. Once baby mammoth has recovered her strength from starving we're going to reunite her with her lost herd.

The baby was found lost and starving after being separated from her mother in a schizo attack. The mother"s carcass was found skinned and butchered. Fortunately the baby is in her last stage of weaning. So she can survive without milk. We've placed a tracker on her so we'll know where her herd goes. Tracking mammoth migration will aid us in planning roads around them. Unlike the mammoths on Terra who died out, this mammoth will have a happy ending.

Implying her herd will take her back.

The rail guns can pierce armor at a distance. And the fork spears are electrified. Unlike muskets the guns are cartridge based and magazine loaded. The downside is our very limited ammo. So eventually we will lose to sheer numbers. Also why are we picking fights with Hoomans? Hoomans have materials and knowledge /nasa/ needs to build a river seaport and shipyard. And we need that port to transport lumber from the south to the waterwheel sawmill for processing.

We're not taming mammoths. Nor are we taming mossbacks. This is a direct order from the Principal to enforce the Grand Directive, which prohibits us from tampering with the genetics of a native species. The exception is domesticated animals already bred by natives. Even then cross-breeding with other breeds of the same animal is prohibited.

We can watch and study native animals. We can hunt if we have to if we abide by the Hunter's code. And we can kill in self-defense. We cannot domesticate native animals ourselves.

Nice read, anon.
Although I would like to offer a question;
How would the sudden disappearance of magic and deities will lead to total collapse?
Some of my points for context
1. Pre-Existing Knowledge
Even if you can no longer use vtubium powers, basic infrastructure that aren't dependent on magic like farming and smithing are still around. It's not like they would all just poof away.
2. Community
While I would agree that a sudden wipeout of the deities would make everyone scared, especially knowing their gods will no longer help them, but to have a society suddenly go anarchy and riot overnight is a bit jumping the gun. There are communal/populist oriented societies that will immediately attempt to alleviate the chaos and would recover without a hitch, except for culture shock in a now non-magic lifestyle.

Well fuck. In a situation like this he definitely is gonna put aside fucking girls for the time being. Being a sort of messenger I can say that he will handle that part fine but once the battle actually begins is where I think it will start to look kind of bad. He thought all he had to do was learn a language and get laid in the process so a battle was the last thing he expected. But where the story is now I would say the nervousness and uncertainty would just start kicking in as he does his duties.

I often have a setlist of things that I want people who read my writing to know, so the story's scenes are simply a way to string those together in a manner that resembles how the character's attention might jump between them.
That's why the opening paragraphs are about how the forest around them begins to thin as human activities take their toll on the rainforest (since there's barely anything else around), then the view opens up to the vast milpa at the edge of the forest, where the stalks of maize naturally catch the attention of the risuners first, by virtue of them being the tallest, before leading to the peas and chilli climbing on them, then the pumpkins between the dirt mounds.
The same logic is applied to the temple as well, as the statue is naturally the first thing people look at, before their attention turns to the temple behind, first on the walls and then on the large stairs between the walls. This way, there's a sense of natural flow of objects that should paint a more concrete picture in the readers' mind even if they just skim over the lines.
I actually learnt that when I was learning to write fight scenes, with the same logic applying to combat moves. That's why a good fight scene has a rhythm to it that is easy to follow even when things are happening fast, while bad fight scenes tend to force you to pause every few seconds to catch up, if not outright tune out entirely.

>>24322917
I mean yes, but the thing is that a story (even when it's just a platform for me to lay out my worldbuilding) is that it should be at least somewhat enjoyable in its own right for people to, you know, read it.

This may sound like a stupid thing. But I'm wondering which nations have intellectual property laws? I know /nasa/ has IP laws because of the way the station's intranet works. Also its very easy to copy digital data if you know what you're doing. So we have laws to prevent unauthorized distribution of copyrighted data. That said we do have data that is in the "public domain" that is free for everyone to read and distribute. We also have fair use laws that allow people to create transformative works of other copyright works so long as the original copyright holder is cited. How are copyright laws in your countries?

>> No.24326630

>>24321074
You bring up good points there, and I'll try to answer them as best as I can

1. I did say technology would warp back to roughly (early) Middle Ages time period, and of course such basic infrastructure was present back then and would be there in the time since the post-apocalypse. My comments were more tuned towards modern/industrial tech that were present in certain nations.

2. You're right when you say anarchy happening overnight is a bit ridiculous. I think what I more properly meant was a series of damaging events that happened in a relatively short timespan, causing massive negative changes in more advanced societies - that would be complex chuubanite trade systems falling apart, which in turn can cause further economic problems, and this happens alongside the sudden wipeout and inevitable schizo rampaging. These factors together would definitely change society - think Bronze Age style collapse.
You're also right about communal and populist societies, and my take on them is that the former would probably devolve into the isolationist village governments I mentioned while the latter might become the rump states mentioned in the guide. I still believe though that cultural change and distortion would inevitably happen as the world becomes less globalized in general.

Thanks for asking about these points!

>>24321246
While I didn't imagine anything fatal would happen at first, it makes sense to me that the disappearance of some chuubas may cause global catastrophes of some sort. Still reading through the lore docs so I apologize if I've missed something about that

>Climate
Most of /uuu/ has an oceanic climate (Cfb/Cfc). While not exactly the most common climate type, it's something that many are familiar with, as some of the RL regions dominated by that climate type include western Europe (France/Britain), southeastern Australia, and New Zealand. A thin strip of it can also be seen in the Pacific Northwest, between southern Alaska and Seattle.
By definition, the oceanic climate is relatively mild, with the average temperature of all months between 0°C and 22°C. Rainfall is more or less consistent across the year, and the region is generally pretty wet due to the westerlies bringing moisture from the sea - basically what leads to the stereotype of Britons and Irish always complaining about the rainy weather and mostly absent summer (as ever-present cloud and fog significantly reduce sunlight hours).
The southern edge of /uuu/ bordering /who/ is the northernmost edge of warm-summer Mediterranean climate (Csb), which is found in RL places like the US portion of Pacific Northwest and northern Portugal/Galicia. Here, the weather is somewhat warmer, but its most defining climate feature is the eponymous dry summer, which leads to sunny, dry summer and mild, wet winter. Because of that, trees here tend to be larger and taller.
>Plants
Fittingly, most of /uuu/are likely filled by temperate forest, with the heavy rainfall making it an example of the underrated temperate rainforest. While it depends heavily on the dominant species, generally speaking, the majority of forest in /uuu/ will be mixed conifer and broadleaf forest, with the northern and southern edges being more dominated by conifers (for different reasons).
Common hardwood includes Ash, beech, juniper, oak, and yew, as well as the somewhat soft Populus trees (including aspen, poplar and cottonwood). Common softwood includes Cedar, cherry, cypress, maple (naturally), pine, and spruce.

I wonder if Saplings can use crystalized amber lights to communicate in the fog. Also the fog itself is a natural defense. It confuses anyone that dares enter the forest without invitation. Also the chuubanite in trees has a magnetic field that fucks with compasses. So unless you know the way you will get lost as no tool nor the sky will help you.

Also another idea is the forest can have conifer spores that cause short term memory loss or amnesia when exposed for long periods of time. So you will forget places and things you see in the forest. And eventually you will forget about time itself. Once you're wandering the forest cold, wet, hungry, and alone the Saplings can take you in. You will have a choice to join them and forget about civilization. Or you can continue to wander the forest uncertain of your fate. Many people lost in the forest never return. Those lucky enough to return from the forest alive become like feral animals. They forget how to speak and think like humans. And rehabilitation to resettle society is a life-long process. Sometimes its just better to release feral humans back into the forest for them to be eaten if they're too far gone.

I'm not a sapling. This is just a thought on how dangerous wandering the forest alone can be. Saplings don't have to worry because they are immune to the spores. And the spores don't affect animals. Only humans.

Instead you will begin to think more like an animal. In fact many feral humans are happier living in the forest then they are trying to re-integrate back to society. Even those rescued and rehabilitated long for the days where they can wander and explore the forest without a care in the world. Sometimes they return to the forest by their own choice. Who wouldn't? The forest is a natural paradise and fun to explore. Again not a sapling, but this can be a natural way to return to monke.

I'm glad you asked!
For me, the key to writing a fight scene is the same as how Thomas Hobbes describes life outside society: nasty, brutish, and short. In terms of writing, it means that each sentence should be short - avoid excessive run-on sentences, phrases and clauses (admittedly I'm not very good at that, but I digress). Each sentence should be short and to the point (active voice is useful here when applicable), so that it doesn't interrupt the flow too much. Sometimes, dialogues between moves are fine, but you shouldn't keep them too long, since people in actual fights usually don't have time to wax rhetoric either.
Because of that, since ideally you want to keep description at a minimum, you will want to focus on things that matter, which in this case usually means things that are changing - he pushed the dagger into her, she pointed the gun barrel against his temple and squeezed the trigger, and so forth. Depending on the situation, you might end up having to write fights that aren't one-on-one, in which case you might want to segment them into small pieces to deal with them individually. For example, if I want to write two people (A and B) ganging up on one (C), I would make it flow something like this:
>C kicks A
>B holds C from behind
>A punches C
>C mule kicks B and escape from the hold
>A tries to punch C again, C dodges
>C headbutts A
That way, the attention never jumps between more than two individuals at the same time, which makes the reader more likely to follow the flow. You can also see that the sequence is connected to each other - C kicking A is why B has an opening to hold C, and C being held is why A manages to land a blow, and so forth. This creates a rhythm that is easy to follow. If there are other participants whose action don't connect directly to this flow (but has to be present for plot reasons), then it's better to keep it at a minimum, almost like a background. This usually applies to ranged attacks like guns, in which case the sound of gunpowder discharge (and perhaps screams of being shot) can be used to add atmosphere to the combat, while implying what is happening in the background.
Outside of this, there are other ways to plan your fight scene to make it more distinct and less tedious. For example, consider making each main combatant distinct - give them different physical characteristics, different weapons, different fighting styles, matching them with opponents with said differences. This not only makes the fight less monotonic (see your average low-level For Honor combat for what not to do), but also helps you differentiate characters without having to name-drop them every time. In the previous example, you can see that punches are thrown only by A, and C opts for kicking (and headbutting), while B only does a hold. Other common counterplay includes differences in weapons and physique.
Depending on your habit, watching and reading how others create fight scenes can be useful as well. For me, fights choreographed by the late Monty Oum are always good examples to watch and borrow from. You can see that his fights often feature a mix of the above techniques, plus some others that are more applicable to a visual medium.

Thanks! Other things of note:
>While it's not mandatory, and some find it too anime-y for a realistic fight, but having the combatants' weapons and styles embody what they're fighting for can be a good idea as well. This way, not only does it help to differentiate them, but their actions also speak for themselves (thus saving you from flow-breaking speeches mid-fight).
>Obviously, the above is most applicable in a brawl - actual army combat is boringly practical in most cases, although a good thing about boarding action is that you rarely get anything approaching formation. The below point can also help when you have to write formation combat, especially for line infantry combat.
>In a fight scene where the enemy is absent (for example, when in a naval combat), the enemy's presence is instead replaced by the effects they have - cannonballs piercing the hull, chains snapping the mast, something like that. I'm not very good at that, admittedly, but I think the /who/ naval patrol did a good job depicting one if you're interested.

Wouldn't mind a climate analysis of /nasa/, but what can be said? /nasa/ is mostly plains. My guess is to the west closer to the sea we have tundra wetlands as the river drains out. Wetlands are mostly tall grass but will freeze over in the winter. Towards the south-west we get into more fertile lands with the bordering conifer forest above /uuu/. It doesn't quite have the monsoon climate. So the forest is actually a taiga. To the south-east we have the frozen hills as the snow-covered mountain side rises on /rrat/'s mountain range. Then as we go north and north east we hit the tundra. Literally half of /nasa/ is covered in permafrost. Which makes land development pure hell. This also makes paved roads not viable as they'll crack and freeze in the winter. I guess due to how hungry the natural wildlife is /nasa/ can only grow crops in sci-fi greenhouses. So we're just going to have to figure out where we're going to build our greenhouses close to base. It seems like the southern farm is a lost cause as 40% of the fields have already been eaten by mossback tortoises. Even electric fencing can't keep them out.

Well, more or less yes.
>climate
/nasa/ can be divided into two major climate zones - tundra in the north, and taiga in the south. In the region bordering /uuu/, the climate is still warm enough to support some degree of tree growth thanks to a combination of low latitude and the warm current flowing next to /uuu/. It can be subdivided into the subpolar oceanic climate (Cfc) in the west, and subarctic continental (Dfc/Dfd) in the east, with the latter subjected to a more drastic temperature range due to the lack of moderating ocean. In practice, though, the result is more or less the same - the region will be dominated by hardy conifer trees typical of taiga, as they are the only ones who can thrive in the cold weather. Here, you will likely find trees like firs, larches (which will become increasingly dominant as you go north), pines, and spruces. As you go further north, the climate becomes steadily colder, until you cross the point where the average monthly temperature never rises above 10°C (at around 60° N). The low temperature prevents tree seeds from developing into trees, and as a result, the forest will begin to thin out, leaving only patches of clonal forests that manage to spread slowly due to them not developing from seeds. Here, most plants will be hardy grass, moss, and lichen. The landscape will become increasingly bleak as you go north, until you reach the northern border, where the weather is so cold that the land never melts - this is the permafrost, the ice cap of the planet.
As for wetland, funnily enough, most of /nasa/ would be considered wetlands, barring the occasional hills. While tundra is a very dry place (almost no rainfall or snow), the brief summer only melts the surface soil, while the underground remains frozen. As water can't really pass through ice, it means the melted ice usually has nowhere to go and ends up building up in all kinds of tundra terrain like bog, peatland, pingos, palsa, patterned grounds and thaw lakes. The waterlogged environment also means there will be more bugs than an average Bethesda game during the warm season - fortunately the Sanalites already have space suits to not get sucked drier than a Deadbeat.
As you might expect, agriculture is difficult in /nasa/, and borderline impossible in the tundra north. In the taiga, agriculture might be possible by making use of fast-growing, hardy crops like potatoes during the short growing season (which is longer near /uuu/), Alternatively, growing grass for livestock is also possible, although this is counteracted by the destruction done by mossback tortoises. Barring that, you will have to rely on either hunting (moose and reindeer are the main stay) or greenhouse for growing food, in which case it simply becomes a question on how many resources you're willing to expend on counteracting the climate to grow crops.
The land is generally not fertile, but /nasa/ likely has the technology to resolve that (from fertiliser to aquaculture).

so, i thought of an idea with the magic quanta interpretation. what if there was a sort of magnetism-like force that caused chuubanite to bind to specific types of matter more often in areas where the majority of chuubanite has bonded to said material. think of how magnetism happens when all ions are "facing" the same way, and how you can make magnets by rubbing material that can become magnetic such as iron with magnets to help align the ions.
if i am not mistaken, magic quanta is supposed to be able to distinguish itself with a different charge which represents different concepts. those charges can give chuubanite a sort of magnetic force that causes nearby vitubium to "align with it" so to speak, but is otherwise incapable of breaking any bond that already exists.
this can be useful in explaining how chuubanite in the territory of one faction can be dominated by only a few concepts, despite having all the same material that any other location has. in each region, a matter vs antimatter event took place, and the dominant charge won. this also means that you can bring chuubanite of one charge into a region with another and it wont change immediately, but could change at some point in the future.
also i'm trying to learn how to make my formatting better for that one risuner and the other people who found it difficult to read, but still put up with it for this long. if you don't like it, that's fine, i'll just go straight back to not caring. more convenient for me, anyways. tell me what you think of the idea, though.

I think that charge as a quality works way better as a measurement of the power of the magic quanta; high charge quanta can do more work than low charge quanta can.

The magic quanta was supposed to distinguish itself with a different waveform representing each concept. It would not be entirely accurate to how i thought it would be, but one can simplify the idea by thinking of magic quanta vibrating with a some frequency, and each next level of frequency (the frequencies would be quantized) corresponding to a certain concept.

Perhaps the waveforms of the magic quanta cause ripples in the magic energy field, and perhaps the quanta waveforms themselves are also affected by ripples in the magic energy field. This would mean that two separate magic quanta can exchange information about their identities through the magic energy field.
These "ripples" should likely take the form of some sort of elementary particle associated with the magic energy field. We could have an entire family of particles associated with the field. Pic rel, a very low effort expansion to the standard model.

This exchange of information could allow magic quanta that are brought close to each other to experience spontaneous synchronization, where the two magic quanta over some period of time take on the same waveform. This can happen in real world with vibrations sometimes, see this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T58lGKREubo
Veritassium also has a good video on the subject: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t-_VPRCtiUg

Here, you could imagine each of those metronomes being an individual magic quanta, their "rhythm" being their identity/concept. The base the metronomes are standing on is the analog to the magic energy field.

With this system, you could have the same effect as you described. The matter vs antimatter event here taking the form of magic quanta -and vitubium- forming with random concept identities, and by pure chance in some areas a little bit more of a certain frequency formed over others - allowing a spontaneous synchronization event to take place.

However, if this sort of synchronization is made canon, I suggest that there is also some way to slow it down, or perhaps a way to stop it from happening. Naturally, higher mass of vitubium would be more resistant to this change than small mass objects even without such a mechanic.

i imagine that changing the magic quanta itself could result in hindering the use of chuubanite of one type in unaffiliated territory. with the chuubanite being the thing to change, you could have combinations of chuubanite that make something more than it's parts.
with that said, i like this idea otherwise. idk if there is a way to stop or slow it down, though, so we'll have to think about it later on.

Here I was expecting wetlands to be in the west, not the whole region. Anyway it looks like greenhouses will be our only option for food due to mossbacks destroying our southern crops. I suppose this also means livestock is a no-go outside of chickens that don't need too much space. Unless we curb the mossback tortoise population we won't have enough grass nor wheat to feed cattle. Apologies to tortoise anon, but I think we may have to add mossback tortoise soup to the menu.

>I was expecting wetlands to be in the west, not the whole region.
It's a fairly common assumption, but the key is that tundra tend to be wetland because of its exceptionally poor soil drainage, although by definition they're seasonal.
>I suppose this also means livestock is a no-go outside of chickens that don't need too much space.
Posslby - some tundra-living people IRL were working on domesticating reindeer when the Europeans came knocking, so it's possible that /nasa/ ends up having some pre-domesticated (or at least enough to be herded) reindeer. They're one of the few large herbivores that manage to survive in tundra environment because they can digest lichen, which is noticeably absent in the listed diets of the mossback tortoise. Other than that, though, greenhouse, small-scale animal farming (insect farming might be worth considering too) will have to do, since I vaguely remember there being a ban on hunting local wildlife. If not, then some tundra predators like foxes and bears can also be hunt for their meat.

Oh don't apologise, I never designed them with the intention of being our pets or anything, they are just another animal in our little piece of the world. That being said, I would like you to consider the following:
Going from a non interference policy of the old Directive to straight up hunting them might be a bit weird, specially since a decision like that would most likely recieve major backlash from several departments, namely the flora/fauna research department. Instead, I propose that we just set up watches for the time being around our farms, and the guards are permitted to use any force necessary to chase away Mossbacks, even if that means setting the F0R-Ks to lethal voltage. Just like any other animal, eventually they will learn that it's best to leave the farms alone, or risk getting hurt. Not like they are starved for food outside. Just my two cents on the matter.

Also, regarding the wetlands situation, there is bound to be some hilly terrain, and as we most definitely scouted ahead on where we should drop the station back on the ground, I really doubt we just plopped it down in the middle of a marsh. So it's safe to assume that we are currently on a larger elevated part of the land, and not experiencing what it's like being an amphibian. Sorta like out own little island of sorts. So farm animals should be ok for the time being, although space would still be limited.

There's a ban on hunting rare or endangered animals. If an animal is abundant enough then it is allowed to be hunted. We also have a hunter's code that strictly prohibits the hunting of female animals. Females can repopulate while half of the males die alone. As for cattle I was hoping for something like Highland Cows. However even they have limits in the cold. Also there are no indigenous people in /nasa/ outside of schizos. And schizos don't donesticate worth shit. If reindeer exist then they won't be domesticated. I guess we'll sticks with onions milk (word filter changes the word) and nut milk for ice-cream until we can build factory farms. Factory farms won't be ideal for animals but they don't need as much space.

More or less yes (although admittedly it's written before I refined how I present the information here), although back then I discussed with another anon about /nasfaqg/'s climate about the possibility of it having patches of Mediterranean climate. That said, now that I read more into it, you don't need a Mediterranean climate to grow grapes for wine. In terms of economically significant plants, your best bet would likely be trees, some of which (like sal, you might also get some sandalwood and ironwood as well) can fetch a pretty high price. Other than that, you might have to invest in building up a brand for your particular products and making them luxury goods - which is basically how high-class red wine comes about anyway.

Thanks!
From my discussions with our rep and the previous documents on the serene republic I've understood that nasfaqg focuses on the quality over quantity, meaning that luxury items like fine wines and high-quality goods such as durable cloth, weapons, tools, and ships could work as the primary exports of the nation.

This concept of people going insane in the forest could work. /nasa/ with enough oxygen tanks could stave off the pollen. Same with dealing with /morig/'s gas bombs. The problem will come from electrical interference from the trees since they do mess with the magnetic fields. Birds don't have to worry because they fly high enough to avoid getting their compass scrambled. And animals are unaffected by the spores so they can just memorize their routes or use smell as waypoints. Sadly demi-humans like Risuners are affected by the spores. Though in Risuner's case they'll just continue to collect nuts as normal. Although Risuners will forget language and math in the process.

Abandon reason have sex with squirrels. Even spacemen have urges

>> No.24390793

I think before I can continue writing the story I'm going to need to detail /nasa/'s government more. The station does indeed have a government. It has a council, senate, courts, and executives. The council are people appointed by Starfleet. They're like the EU council and can draft whatever laws they want. The Senate are elected representatives of the people in the station. The senate has the power to veto a council's decision if it goes against the people's interest. But for the most part the senate writes smaller laws that regulate resources and stuff. Then there's the courts which try laws and interpret them into the book of common law. And then there's the executives which is the Principal, his administration, and the security forces which are the military. This is just a rough idea on how government is structured.

Now there is a clause in the Grand Directive that says if there is absolutely no hope of contacting Starfleet and the station is completely isolated with no way to return to space then the Senate can unanimously vote for a Home World Directive to declare themselves independent from Starfleet. What will happen is that the Council will have to be abolished as there are no more ties with Starfleet. And from there /nasa/ would have to rebuild their own government from scratch.

The problem with the home world directive: Council are a bunch of space commies that want the full control of /nasa/, it's resources, it's people, and it's technology. They don't want to give up their positions in council. In fact council is banking on security to follow their orders so they can take direct control of Executive to establish a full police state. The lock downs prevent them from establishing their social credit scores. They're also the reason why money is digital only currency with no physical tender. If we can get all of senate to unanimously vote for a home world directive then the council will have no choice but to resign.

you know how the treants are supposed to be the wise ones? what if they are immobile and stuck in their meditation, so entire communities are created around them for their wisdom, and they become the defacto leaders of their communities because they are most in harmony with the "will" of the forest.

I don't think anyone but Ame can travel through time. Even then there are very strict rules on how Ame can interact with history in order to keep this timeline stable. Well, I guess Kronii could as well. I would go as far as to make it so that Ame's time travel is a power stolen from/granted by Kronii, just to keep those shenanigans really contained. And Ame and Kronii wouldn't use those powers to influence Vitubia, imo.

I prefer using the branching timeline method when doing time travel
>nigga goes back to the past
>kills his father before he was conceived
>he's now in an alternate branch
And of course the cosmic horror aspect of branching timeline
>throw a dice
>universe branches into 6 to fit every outcome
>raindrop falls from the sky
>universe branches a thousand times for every possible direction it goes
>particles moving randomly in Brownian motion
>universe branches according to the permutation of every particles' movements
An infinite number of universes, but 99% of them are fillers made from mundane possibilities.
Which also serves as backup.
Throw a dice before doing anything major. Universe branches into 6.
If you fucked up in this one, you can just jump into the one with a different dice roll.
Totally didnt stole it from Zero Escape with the coin flip plot

The thing is that any story with time travel, needs to either be a story about time travel, or be completely wacky. It's just too impactful of a plot element to be a throwaway feature. That's why we can have time travel in our chuubas' wacky nonsensical lores, but it would be extremely difficult to work it into the more grounded /vtwbg/ setting.

Basically what other anons said, with the closest example probably being the US South - I decided that the monsoon effect of the holo continent stops being the dominating factor of local climate right east of Ameland, so while it still has wet and dry season, it's not significant enough to be put in Cwa. Unfortunately, the area where the RL example would be at happened to be desert due to other factors, so the next closest thing would be places with a weak monsoon, like the North American Monsoon - hence the South. As such, the fashion would probably be similar to that - expect clothes to be thinner, lighter and sometimes looser, so less deerstalker and more seersucker.

Well ok. It seems that pinisi are in fact the sailing rig. The hull was used by many indonesian ships. Risu naming her boat in minecraft the pinisi was technically incorrect but how TF can i blame the derp squirrel. The hulls mostly used are called Palari and Lambo. Funyn enough Lambo are faster which makes sense given their name. Ill base risus vessels off the Palari rigging for now since those are more suited for long distance travel and would make sense given risuners expeditions. Statistics coming soon as i do more research. I could do 17th-18th centure indo boats too if I wanted to maybe but I want it to stick to Ayunda lore as much as possible so pinisi should make the most sense.

/who/'s most capable naval ships are mostly heavy frigates that have around 40+ guns and are crewed with around 320 people. Newer heavy/great frigates are rated for 50+ guns. Though the latest steam frigates have slightly fewer guns due to them being more powerful but takes up more space. Biggest ones are limited to 2nd rates but we only have a few, just enough to keep at least 2 at sea while the others undergo maintenance. Sloops and brigs(below 20 guns) are plentiful but they usually operate in coastal waters or perform escort missions. The ships are longer and has a lower freeboard than most ships but that's compensated by having 1 fewer(thus higher) gundeck, allowing the guns to operate in almost any kind of austere weather.
