People seem to forget that Mori is just as isolated from the rest of her genmates as Kiara is in terms of timezones and scheduling stuff. On top of that, she's been on an extremely strenuous recording schedule since the end of January that eats up a lot of her time and energy. All of her non CHaDcast, teatime, and eikaiwa collabs since the year began have been open invites initiated by someone else (and having Kiara on the latter two is an eventuality, come on now. Mori's even talked about it already), while Kiara's streams tend to run incredibly late for her to join (she still appeared in her hatsumode stream despite this, and has appeared in chat at ungodly hours when her insomnia gets the better of her). As for the hotel thing, it does seem silly, but from my understanding, there seems to have been a communication break? If Kiara had asked Mori to stay with her, she would, but seems to have gone ahead with this hotel plan, obviously not wanting to impose because that's how she is. Isn't Mumei doing the same thing, too?
And if I may speak from my armchair a bit, I think part of her is legitimately afraid to reach out again. She has incredibly deep self-doubt issues regarding interpersonal relationships stemming from her background, so knowing that she feels horrible and responsible for the two of them drifting apart might mean that she's subconsciously avoiding it because she doesn't want to hurt Kiara (and herself) again, compounded by the fact that her current workload is legitimately an enormous timesink that's not conducive to trying to repair and maintain a friendship a continent away. That said, at the end of the day, I still think the level of strain has been deeply exaggerated by this board, but a lot of people seem to take it at face value.
