I'm not the anon you were replying to but that's wrong. JewTube takes 30%, then Cover by default takes 50% from what's left. So let's say you send 10$, YT takes 3$ and Cover takes 50% of what's left (3.5$) and the remaining amount is 3.5$ PRE-TAX. However, this is the "default" deal at cover. At this point it's public knowledge that Pekora has 60/40 split with cover so Cover takes 40% after YT cut.
Having said that, here's the caveat:
Viewers who superchat the most (either by quantity or amount) are Apple users, many of whom use Apple Pay feature. I don't know about the current situation but at least in the past that meant that another 15-30% will be deducted BEFORE jewtube takes their initial 30%. Knowing all that it can make 10$ donation look like shit considering a contracted vtuber with 50/50 split at cover will get 2.5$ from apple pay donations and 3.5$ by other means before they even pay any taxes. So when a vtuber who gets 300k a year from superchats only receive a pre-tax salary of 75k-105k you can then understand why it's considered pocket money compared to merch sales or ticket sales.

There's no way to know how much she earned but we've seen that her birthday merch has generated over 1M USD revenue. Birthday merch releases are generally the most profitable ones along with anniversary ones because you can buy them as sets and so on. I'm sure she generates at least few million USD each year from merch sales but how high does that figure go is beyond anyone outside Cover to know. Considering merch "cogs" make up at least 25-30% of the cost and people pay for shipping themselves, it would mean that for each piece of merch bought 70% of it is profit. How that profit is shared is another blackbox but according to talents themselves it's way better than superchats so we have to assume either cover takes just a little bit of that or none. For example, at vshoho they get to keep 100% of merch profit although I doubt Cover is that generous.
Finally, people seem to disregard sponsored content. It would not be outlandish to state that if Pekora earns 300-400k pre-tax in superchats then she must earn at least a couple of millions from other activities (merch sales, sponsored content, ticket sales and etc.) Which would be inline with some holo members claims of SC making up the minor part of their income.
