1) Koyori put in Godly effort, won most people's respect, made a name for herself. Some audience will give her a chance.

2) Its not easy to improve entertaining ability
(its largely affected by personality, voice and other factors)
(there are JP chuuba that streamed for 3 years and still not entertaining)

3) Most people don't have time to watch all Koyo content, you can stream 3000 hours a day and I still only have 30 minutes per day. Instead of more stream, Koyo should spend more time to research, practice or improve her entertaining ability.

it's because that anon is retarded and doesn't understand that that average counts for the whole year and also takes into consideration stupid bullshit like having a different frame for sc reading after an 8k stream at 8 am, instead of discarding outliers with median
not even mentioning the streams that happened during the youtube bug in january that particularly hurt her cause of her amount

>> No.24251920

>>24250964
You'll quickly realize how worthless 'research' is if you try to apply the idea to something in the same vein like writing music, jokes or novels. You can study all the theory and past examples in the world and get nowhere because in the end everyone admits they don't know how come shit is compelling or catches on, they just keep coming up with endless speculation and rules-of-thumb and hope enough people buy it as convincing.

That's survivorship bias. Everyone is shaped differently by their life experiences. Some of these people - plenty of people - using those experiences, produce content that is particularly in tune with the zeitgeist of entertainment of their time. But this doesn't make them automatically successful, it simply means they have enough metaphorical funds to buy a lottery ticket to success. For every successful, talented person, there are likely 99 people with the same or greater talent who never got their 'big break' and had to change career paths or just do it as a hobby.

Yuki Kajiura has no formal education with music - she was a systems programmer - and Kevin Penkin is doing a Masters in the Royal College of Music. Yet in the end the music they produce is all used by the same anime industry, and a casual listener would not differentiate much between them. There are many paths to 'constant' success.

Add on the fact that once you have some success you have name recognition and clout, and that is enough to put you together with other similarly successful people who want to work with you. Even if you were not especially talented, these people can make up for your deficiencies and it is in a lot of people's vested interests to make sure you improve.

Man. I wish I was that optimistic about people in general and then I look outside or in media and I am having trouble believing all of that.

>> No.24255954

>>24255701
You think that's optimistic? I don't think so. As long as you squeeze past the bare threshold for success, you're eligible for the lottery ticket. Which is why you have so many people who apparently can't act or can't sing well in showbiz - because they still did meet the minimum standards (and also perhaps because them being there instead of someone else serves another person's purposes). The point is talent, training, and even just pure ability only counts for something up to a point. Of course, the better you are, the more chances you have to roll the dice. But you can only roll them so many times.
