I could buy a cheap phone, install youtube on it and watch a stream and it'll still get counted as 1 view. Buy 1000 cheap phones, and direct them all to 1 stream and it'll count as 1000 viewers. About the chat speed thing, I'll admit that it became more stupid the more I went to compare. The thing about it is that it doesn't count other languages for one plus it doesn't prove a stream was getting view farmed. A real person could sit there watching a stream without chatting but the fact still stands that it's weird for Gura to have more chats that Mysta with 41k. The conclusion probably leans heavily that her viewers are culled, the chat speed thing just further proves it the more I check Gura's stream. Even her stream gets like ~200k vod views (after processing) to Mysta's 324k vod view stream which is in close proximity.

I got into vtubers from Hololive back in early 2020 summer so I don't know what happened before that point but were they ever comparisons between Holostars and the male Nijisanji members in Japan? Because I can definitely see comparisons being made between Holostars EN and Luxiem/Noctyx. Plus, from my experience there is a bigger crowd of "muh toxic idol culture, muh failling holostars" outside of Japan that can apply pressure and create problems compared to JOPs. So, in the end, maybe Cover will reconsider.
