So, I will start off by saying this. This is defintely the best instant ramen I've ever had. And yes, by the standards of other instant ramens, this takes the same amount of time. I appreciate the tip to 'add your favorite toppings', say, adding an egg, or some green onions. However, I think you could say the same about any instant ramen. I decided to try this with nothing but boiling water and whats in the bag (ramen block, spice pack, oil pack).
Now, I've tried your typical instant ramen. Maruchan and Top Ramen, along with a handful of more specialized instant ramen bowls. So, I'm no expert, but I've been around the block. This was just as easy to make, just boiling water and adding the rest after. The noodles felt normal. Idk if I'm just uncultured, or I need to experiment with the cook time longer, but it's the noodle texture you'd expect from instant ramen (nutritional composition might be different, more on that later). I enjoyed the meal, and it doesn't sit heavy on me many minutes later.
The broth. It's really, really good. I slurped it up hungrily, and never felt like I needed to pause because it was too heavy. It just tasted good. Better than every instant ramen broth by far, and even better than some cook-to-order ramen broths I've had at restaurants. Not all, obviously, but I was impressed (no MSG on the ingredients?
