I think it was something like $800 aussie dollars, and that's just for the pngs. A large majority of that money went to the character sheet, as I intend to upgrade to 3D in the future and wanted a good reference so I could model better. Some anons might think I got scammed, but honestly? I think it was worth it, especially because of how cooperative and easygoing they were. A sketch of the character + the finished pose png I initially posted was somewhere in the $350 - $400 range from memory.

I think it's improving yeah, I still feel like passing out after zoom calls and have trouble articulating consistently. I was also able to vocalize a note briefly through the straw while blowing bubbles so that's a huge improvement. Someone said it would take 3-4 months so I'm trying to keep at it every day.

Strangely, this is something I can tell you about since I considered it as well. Dinotubers (and some other related types like kaiju and reptile vtubers) are some of the most enthusiastic from what I've noticed. They're good at following each other back and they're moderately popular, although you still need to work at it just like anyone else. Don't bother trying to get dragon vtubers to follow you if you're a dinotuber though, they don't care and they're a dime a dozen.

People seem to like the alternative dino/monster models like in the pic, but still need a human version to make it more memorable.

If you're applying to a small corpo just to use them as a stepping stone, you have to really consider if it's worth the trouble. Sure, Rosemi was probably put on a priority list because of her pl, but then niji also hired a 20ccv literal who purely because of nepotism. Holo isn't much better either. If you're currently already in a good spot, I suggest just continue inclining as is, and maybe try to get cushy with the current big corpo members.

I'm very involved in the small corpo scene, basically if you arent getting into phase connect you really shouldnt be dropping your current identity as a chuuba. The other smaller corpos that popped up this year are doing quite well too but that involves starting up your own youtube channel and regrowing from zero again. I know a couple of other small corpos that are gonna launch later this year too with considerable investment but overall it's a massive crapshoot right now. Even the ones that look fine on the surface will have internal issues that none of us will see until it's too late.

So i'd suggest that if you really do want to get into one, just apply to all of them and look at the contracts you get if you get in. Then do the maths over your current earnings as an indie vs the company taking their cut+providing you with assets and investment over time along with management (they can lie about this too) and then figuring out if it's worth it. Overall though I think that if you'd keep working on your channel and continue growing, I think you'll easily do way better than any of the small corpos nowadays especially if you have a more independent philosophy behind you.

So I've got a problem. I'm interested in becoming a vtuber because taking on a new identity and appearance appeals to me, but I'm not sure how well I'll get along with other vtubers. Pretty much all of the vtubers I've seen so far clearly come from a different internet culture than the one I'm used to, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to deal with the difference when trying to network. I'm especially worried that I'll discover behind the scenes that somebody has views on certain subjects that I just can't tolerate dealing with. I'm thinking I'll just say something like "I'm sorry, but I don't think we're going to get along" and just move on, but I don't know what the repercussions of doing this might be.

I'm someone who works behind the scenes for vtubers 1000+ viewers and above to small ones like 50 viewers or so. The biggest thing about all the vtubers is that they're all on /vt/ because it's the only place where people can egosearch themselves. Believe me, everyone does it. In my one year of working with vtubers of all sizes the only cases where I heard of being 4chan affiliated being an issue is

>Kiki who managed to get a collab with Pippa and was inclining hard until someone released a video of her doing a /pol/ rant which got her ostracized and blacklisted from the vtuber community. (easy solution: dont go on /pol/ rants where people can clip you)

So posting your links here has never been an issue because you're anonmynous nobody can tell who posted the links and if people are guilty with links by association this will basically hit all the vtubers mentioned on this board. Hanging out and being friends with 4chan vtubers isnt a problem either as there was drama with TVwastaken making a list of 4chan based vtubers (with a lot of false positives) that people just went "oh who cares" and went on their day. There are vtubers on /vt/ that did not start off being on 4chan but was linked here so much that their friend group and circle became closely entwined with other 4chan based vtubers thanks to twitch/twitter algorithm too.

In closing, there's really no issues of being 4chan linked as long as you dont shout out /pol/ stuff and getting yourself clipped about talking about 4chan often. Always refer to this site as "some website" or something like that in order to have plausible deniability. People posting your links here isnt your fault either because they just really like you and post your streams here without your control. The benefits of being 4chan linked is that you're part of the closest tightknit group of western vtubers that you can easily talk to and collab with ranging from all sizes from small to massive. This allows you a boost to get affiliate easily and if you can make friends outside of /asp/, you can find /wvt/ vtubers to be super friendly and for them to help you grow by giving you access to their resources too. The other alternative is making friends on twitter but that's way harder.
