Kobo’s a mix of being hard culled and having an enormous following in ID right now who checks her out. It’s a complete mystery because it’s affecting users and not accounts. So some streams might feel more “normal” while others have obvious fuckery. It seems like every big EN stream you’ll see enormous culls because the large portion of the flagged users are tuning in.

40% is usually a safe spot in assumptions though. Like, it’s not something you have to believe, you can always fiddle around with it as it’s a fucking magic number at this point, but like for example, if I take a Gura stream and add half her ccv to the current total, I feel that’s roughly where her actual ccv is.

So for example, if her stream had a 13.5k avg 16k peak, adjusting it would have her at around 20k avg 24k peak. That’s quite literally where she was before CCVID and then the actual cull from 2020 is another story, but 20k is not even remotely out of the question for her views

Hololive members can recover because of the box even if they have periods that they stream unpopular content or even if they don't stream at all. Sana is a prime example of that. As mentioned, it happened right as Mio was starting, there's definitely enough overlap of JP viewers that watch Ina switching to Mio right as Ina had connection issues to make it an issue.
