Speculating about what is or isn't botted and disqualifying streams based off that is a slippery slope and since this is mostly done for fun I don't want the tally to evolve to something like that.

I know that we've been robbed a spectacular 3D debut numbers for Gura, Ame and maybe the whole of Myth. But think of this, Cover may had already ran the calculations on which is the best choice. Looking at the 3D from Gura/Ame this week, it's still gonna be long way till they're gonna get perfect 3D movements on their own. They probably went to rent a 3D studio for a few days for Holofest just to do a performance.

Is it really worth it to make them wait even longer for an official 3D debut in Japan or wouldn't it be better to include them in Holofest, thus hyping the festival up, earning more money and views in the process? Had they waited and made 3D debuts for them all, the highest SC would only be $100k, only $35k without taxes goes to the talents. It's so damn low as compared to merch and tickets. Cover made the best choice out of the situation.

Actually, lets talk a little about how the the chinese vtuber community is structured, since it's dead hours and it might be relevant to us going forward

Broadly speaking, the chinese vtuber community is split into two sides, he pro-Japanese vtuber side and the pro-Chinese vtuber side. The Chinese side think that the Japanese vtubers all fundamentally dislike and look down on Chinese fans and every time they kowtow to the Japanese vtubers, they end up abandoning them after sucking away their money, and only the domestic vtubers are trustworthy. While the other side want to prove them wrong, that not all foreigners hate Chinese, that's why they keep inviting vtubers to stream on Bilibili.

Hololive leaving has pretty much collapsed the pro japanese side, they are still around but their numbers are much diminished than before, especially after the replacement chuubas they latch onto after hololive left keep failing to live up to their ridiculous standards. The issue with Hideki Erio and her sick bird is part of that, the pro japanese side wants a jp chuuba that puts their chinese fanbase above all else so they can shove it into the chinese side's face, and everyone they've latched onto has failed to live up to it, allowing the chinese side to laugh at their face. They are still around, but they mostly exist in their own little enclaves these days and rarely show up in larger communities like Bilibili forums or weibo.

Now, the chink fujos that latched onto luxiem are new, they aren't part of the vtuber fandom beforehand. Most of them came over from various mobile game communites like genshin, and I think we've all heard horror stories about how they behave. There've been some friction between them and the more traditional vtuber communities, but so far both sides have mostly kept to their own individual bubbles and have yet to really collide with each other on a massive scale. Only time will tell how that will go
