You're absolutely correct, I am totally capable of it and in fact have submitted multiple stories to the archive here. The things holding me are twofold: One, I am utterly fucking overloaded with work for other writing communities that will take me months upon months to finish, much of which is related to personal promises and thus somewhat deadline-limited, and:

Two, I realize this is selfish and unreasonable, but sometimes it's just hotter to read smut written by someone, ANYone other than yourself. I'm not as extreme as the folk that say it's impossible to get off to their own work, but it's undeniably a mood killer to be thinking about your shit pacing or how you should have reworded X or Y sentence while skimming a fic, not to mention losing the element of surprise/suspense from a first read. That lattermost element is particularly critical with netorase, where the tension of wondering whether or not the play will break through your comfort zone is half the eroticism.
